Go back to 2.2. It must be LGHome.

Also. I just got my HTC One V. Its so skinny. xD

This will probably be discontinued by me, but still updated if Neko releases an update.

In general how long would you say it takes you to port something from start to finish
I realize it never ends but gimme a Rough guesstimate!

Depends on Rom.

I found a faster way recently.

Roughly twenty minutes. Or 10. Decompile Framework.jar takes a couple of minutes. Then I do my own testing. :)

Re: [ROM]-GinerSnap 1.3|7-15-12|Stock LG UI!

I just seen the page that says updated to latest cyanogen mod nightly build but yet when I go to that page it says there isn't any builds available. Isn't this the proper page to go to to get the latest nightly for the P500: CyanogenMod Downloads

Re: [ROM]-GinerSnap 1.3|7-15-12|Stock LG UI!

still no LG keyboard anymore? :( that was one of my favorite things about this rom, the default android keyboard is way too small on the vm670

Thanks, I didn't see that way at the bottom of the OP.

Edit: BTW is there some way to customize the LG keyboard further? I noticed it changed quite a lot between 2.2 and 2.3

Maybe by messing with the inside of the APK, Idk how to go about doing it though. Still, 2.2 was the best release so far.

So I just tried to flash this ROM with ROM Manager. It seems like it went through all the steps but then it says: assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "thunderc" II getprop("ro.product.device") == "thunderc" II getprop("ro.product.device") == "thunderc" II E:Error in /sdcard/GSNAP_2.3.8_TGL_10-25-12.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.

Then it says a temp log ws copied to my sdcard and to open Rom Manager to report the issue. Only I can't power down the phone, its stuck on the Rom Manager screen.

I'm afraid to pull the battery cause the phone was wiped at the beginning of the process right? Can anyone please help me before my battery dies?

Thanks.

Last i heard rom manager is still bad for our phones
When i first rooted i used rom manager and got the black screen, with the help of this community i was able fix and have been flash happy every since, im sure we can fix yours
Have you installed a recovery yet

Yeah, I had flashed clockwork recovery. I just pulled the battery and rebooted. I'm back to the stock Virgin Mobile Froyo OS with all my personal data gone, (i.e. a factory reset.)

I also just read that ROM Manager does not play nice with the Optimus. Can anyone make a recommendation as to what I should flash this ROM with? Since my settings are all gone I'd still love to try this ROM.

I could actually probably restore my old setup but want to give this ROM a go.

Shut your phine off
Press and hold vol dn amd home then power until lg flashes
That should take you to recovery where you can wipe flash and backup

Thanks for you replies.

I don't understand. ROM Manager was using clockwork recovery to flash the Gingersnap ROM and it failed. Wouldn't fail again even if I do it directly from clockwork? I'm reading that Xionia is a better recovery to flash with.

Check your pm
Clockwork works
If youd rather have xonia downliad it now

Pretty awesome ROM! Just switched over from GTR and loving it. But can anyone tell me how to get an EXT partition to work on here? I've used other roms that have support automatically built in so I am not sure how to get it to work here. I tried Link 2 SD but that did not seem to work, it still installed apps to my internal. I am going to re-partition my 32gb card with a EXT4 4gb partition and see if that works. But if anyone has a working method please let me know :D

BTW using 2.2
