That's great but you need a kernel that supports BLN and voodoo which the packaged kernel does not. We can't run existing kernels because they are based on gingerbread 2 3.7 and those who have tried can't get it to boot up.

just wondering if its just me or does it look like notifications (other than google ones) are a lil tinted?

@ turbofan go for a list would really help me,I've been busy haven't even had time to link the videos others made.

EVEYONE adding a few details to first post to try and stop the repeat question but they still happen. Thanks for helping and answering them.

so is the kernel that your using one that you got with a rom leak or is it one that is just a stock nexus s 4g kernel. i really wanna remove some of the memory lag and add some compcache with overclocking and multiple battery saving effects. please pm me or sumn and let me know. im somewhat ignorant to the nexus scene but i am fully experienced with linux kernels and can make a screamin kernel

About kernels: As stated in a previous post, I've tried a few kernels, but only it only boots with Franco Kernel. Franco Kernel makes it noticeably smoother, but breaks WiFi, which makes it unusable for me. It just refuses to start it.

PM sent thanks for helping out.

I'm somewhat a developer, and I would have to disagree with you. I checked the packets by running Wireshark and legitimate data was being synced. Also, if you go into Settings>Accounts and Sync> then click on your Google account you can see current progress of the sync

Right, I get that and the icons for Gmail and Google Reader never went away. Is the problem there?

I was able to port ICS onto my Nexus S 3G (GSM Version). I recorded a video to give people an idea of the speed etc. when porting to the GSM Nexus S. It seems that everything is functioning well with the exception of 3G & Bluetooth (expected). BTW this is the Nexus S being sold by the WIND network in Canada (which should be identical to the TMobile version in the States.

This is my first post, as a result my link will be in my next post.

Off topic, but for Bugless Beast's GPA18 ROM, I saw that once you set up Google Wallet the endless sync will stop.

On with our regularly scheduled program now =)

That sounds good for GPA18, and I will definitely confirm that and edit it in my original proposal post. Thanks for the tip. Is there an explanation for the same occurrence in this ICS ROM? I think it could benefit all of us to know. Better yet, is anyone else experiencing this in ICS?

[UPDATE] Confirmed troubleshoot for GPA18. Thanks.

As mentioned in my earlier post. Here is a video of my results - ICS on the Nexus S (WIND mobile).

I received a pm back from beezy. here is my response. let me know what you guys would think if i was able to whip this up over the course of a couple days (i work full time so its hard to find time)

"thank you very much for the reply. i completely understand how famous you are to us nexus'ers and that your time is spent a lot on this thread and marching towards a complete release. I will also do what i can in efforts to backport the wifi drivers using logcatting and possible upcoming galaxy nexus sources. bln should be a somewhat easy task and i should be able to pull the config from a stock rooted rom. OC will definitely be included as well as some major governor adjustments to save some battery and improve ramping up/down time. also if you would implement it i would also plan on a slight RAM and display undervolt to ensure the extra processes created by errors in the rom are matched with battery saving techniques iva acquired over the last few years with android development. and if you dont mind would it be ok to fix up a lot of the pngs and also make some boot img adjustments towards healthy ram usage and proper ext usage with init.d scripts to promote zipalign and possibly compcache support. voodoo tends to be a lot of work typically so i dont beleive that will be there on first release :\"

beezy is the !

Beta 3 is only for the 3G Nexus, not the 4G. Hopefully beezy fixes up a version of beta 3 for us NS4G users
