Well for a real early test it's laggy and really heats up the processor. I've had trouble with heat damaging my phones in the past (DINC service plan loop of hell) so I'm going to revert back but I'll definitely keep my eyes on this.

It's pretty snappy for me. As for the heat, it did that in GB.

Yeah this is a great port and running great but it needs some more support if I am going to use this as my daily. 3 days in and there are a few things needing tweaking that outweighs the positives of this rom.

Its funny people are saying that this build of ICS needs this and that... People come on, were not even supposed to be enjoying this as of yet... No official release has been made on any phone of ICS to the public...

Be thankful for what you have to play with and as Beezy gets something new going he will present it to everyone.

Hate to say this but he could very have hit a brick wall as far as what he can do with this SDK build. Only Beezy can answer this for us.

Just got my nexus s first thing i noticed how gorgeous the screen is , now im trying to root but my pc wont recognize my device it just charges any help ?

FYI I've had a couple of times where, when an app is using the gallery to select a picture for sending or posting, the gallery comes up taking up only about a third of the screen. The rest of the area is just dead space. If it happens again I'll try to get a screen shot. I'm a doofus and didn't even think about doing it when it actually happened. ;-)

Have you set up the drivers? I believe they are called adb for the Nexus. I'm fresh off the boat from webOS land, but rooting wasn't too hard after I read a couple guides. qbking77 made this thread to help people see how to do different things. Hope it helps.

This is what i used
Root Sprint Nexus S 4G With A Single Click [Guide]

just download that and run the .bat file in Administrator Mode

This will clear your entire phone including emmc(SDcard).

It will unlock the bootloader, you have to use the volume buttons to select unlock. once that is out of the way it will flash clockwork recovery and you mount storage. It will push su.zip (it might say something about a mv command error, this is normal) just flash that. Reboot and you are rooted. To flash this ROM get ROMManager and flash it over

This is a new glitch I got today. I tried my best to find the trigger again, but was unsuccessful. I was just typing a text message and the keyboard shrunk to portrait mode size while everything else stayed landscape.

From what it looks like. It's not the same type used in the galaxy nexus. but to some extent yes

ICS-dirty-alpha-3.2.zip is latest, released on 10-27-2011 at 04:35 PM.
see the first post, at the bottom. That's when it was last edited, which happen to be when the ROM was released

It was actually released the day before somewhere around 6:10 AM.
