[ROM+Kernel] Inferior Human Organs unofficial CM7.1

The LG Vortex? Sure do! I can be a tester if you would like.

The Scott Pilgrim rom for the Optimus S works on the Vortex except there is no signal at all. It was being worked on but then it just suddenly halted with no reason given, then I found this rom, and the first post says that the other Optimus phones, even the Vortex, will follow through as well, but I didn't see any recent posts related to the Vortex so I thought I'd bring it up.

What I need:
1.) Output of /proc/mtd
2.) A tarball of the stock /system filesystem as well as /default.prop
I assume you have root, right?

I think I phrased that badly, the tool that you use to select an area of the photo to use is square when it's supposed to be rectangular.
I tried to use an image with your suggested resolution but that didn't help at all.

You could download the Wallpaper Wizardrii app. It won't fix your problem, but it should act as a workaround and let you set wallpapers in the normal shape again through the app.

Yeah, I can confirm that, not sure what's up yet. It should probably be installed via gapps, but I've never added an app to that, so I'm not sure if there are any requirements. I'll look into it.

I also just installed your 'latest and greatest build' but Music player does not force close on me. Does it force close as soon as you open music or does it take a while? I can even select and play a song with no force close at all.

I do have root, but I need to reinstall adb since fixing my computer, unfortunately, I don't know if I can get you the "stock" /system filesystem, as I for some dumb reason decided to not back up before flashing LightningC, which is just a slimmed down optimized rom without the LG and Verizon bloatware. There is a clean base rom here on the forum, not sure if it's rooted or not, I could re-root, would that help if I flashed that? If you could PM me instructions and commands to get you what you need, I can zip it up and attach it as soon as I can!

Here's the clean rom I mentioned.

EDIT: Here is the output of /proc/mtd using "cat /proc/mtd" in a terminal emulator from the market, hoping that's what you were talking about.
Code:
dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 00500000 00020000 "boot"
mtd1: 05000000 00020000 "cache"
mtd2: 00500000 00020000 "recovery"
mtd3: 00140000 00020000 "splash"
mtd4: 0bb00000 00020000 "system"
mtd5: 00080000 00020000 "fota_usd_mdm"
mtd6: 006a0000 00020000 "fota_sto_mdm"
mtd7: 0b8e0000 00020000 "userdata"
mtd8: 00080000 00020000 "misc"
mtd9: 00180000 00020000 "persist"

And here is a zip file with the default.prop file and a tarball containing the /system filesystem! HERE

Okay, apparently I get a square shaped selection tool for some images and a rectangular one for others. I'm not entirely sure what the determining factor is though. It seems like when it's a photo of a person and it can make out the face, it focuses on the face in a square shape.

It would FC when I opened it. Restored my TB backup of it, and all is fine. ;)

Does anyone have a good app that will show me what applications and processes are using the most out of my battery. I installed something recently that is completely killing my battery within a few hours.

That's already on the OS itself.

Just use your phone as always until it reaches about 20% remaining, then go here.

"Settings>About Phone>Battery Use"

It helped me figure out that a certain clock widget ended up draining my battery completely in 4 to 5 hours! I found a way to make it last at 20 hours tops. I'm just a text and call, but I got Android because I use special apps, some require root, every once in a while.

I'll look into it this weekend.

never had a problem w/ grooveip in any IHO rom

The reason I brought this up was because under the "know bugs" section of JerryScripts Backside ROM IHO CM7 web page, which was updated as recently as yesterday:

xda-developers - View Single Post - [ROM+Kernel] Inferior Human Organs unofficial CM7.1

there is a bug which states the following:

"GrooveIP disconnects and deregisters when attempting to place a call through it's interface"

So, if you are stating that you have not had any problems, then that puts a wrench in the works. Perhaps it is one of those hard to solve intermittent, configuration related, environmental or user specific problems.

DONT EVEN BOTHER RESPONDING. I TRIED OUT MY NEW OPTIMUS V, AND CELL PHONE COVERAGE IS SO BAD THAT I RETURNED IT. ITS BACK TO VERIZON.

Only problem I've had with groove ip is a often popping noise that makes the other end either completely quite or choppy as hell. Hope it gets fixed soon! Never really had that problem before.

Also, my wifi is still at 29% even after I turn it off when I look under my battery status, any ideas? Shouldn't it say 0?
