If you are on v2.2.3 please update
Nick, do you use the battery tweak? Which setting do you run? Have you tested it at all or just enabled it in case we do wanna use it...does 2.2.4 still use smartass governer and whats it OC'd to?

Sorry I don't use the battery tweak so I can't really provide any insight on it. However, I do believe that it would be more effective with the ondemand governor.

v2.2.4 still used the smartass governor and is still clocked to 748MHz by default.

I will try the battery tweak and set it to 748 and see how it does, just after installing rom it seems very snappy...thanks

I followed the other thread and removed the tweak from 2.3, would I benefit much from 2.4 ("various improvements?").

Btw; Thank you SO much for your work into this rom!!! My optimus is freakin' awesome now haha.

Re: [ROM] Reborn ROM v2.2.3 - 7/17/11

You maybe overclocking your phone to high!, This is what happens when you do. It is a safety feature, will reboot automaticly. You will need to overclock at a lower setting. Each phone is different! While one phone can be OC'ed at 806mhz another can not go over 768mhz. try turning down you setting.
Thanks for the suggestion but already try'ed this to the stable clock speed of 748 that everyone seems to recomend

i usually keep mine at 645 and turn it up if i need to if i were you I'd do the same the higher you over clock it the faster the processor will wear out and eventually die and after a while you might not even be able to go up past 748.

Thats just my recommendation.

I don't plan on keeping the phone that long ill upgrade after my 2year Contract is over any way. Also does your phone feel more resposive at that speed any way

Nick7 may i now what improvements it brings thanks in advance also is RebornROM faster that ShellRom or about the same?

I know I did Read it but it only said:

"v2.2.4
+ Technical
- disabled collin_ph tweak by default
- various improvements"

I would like to know what he means by "various improvements"

"various improvements" means that I most likely forgot what exactly I did lol... one thing I do remember, however, is changing out a few apks in system because png optimize actually harmed their performance. Other than that it's just various script tweaks and prop edits.

Nick -

I have so enjoyed this phone because of your ROM's and all the work of the whole group of Devs out there... I will be switching to the PHOTON next week. It's been a great ride...

thank you...

ive posted once so far to help on a ota patch test, and now to thank nick

my phone would be far less appealing to me without the hard work you cats put in to these roms

big ups and thank you

i installed 2.2.4 from a fresh wipe and I am trying to enable the battery tweak but in terminal after enabling "su" and typing in "batt-cfg" i get a message saying that its not found. when i did this in 2.2.3 i was able to get into the battery tweak menu without any problems. any ideas?
