No its a skinned 2.2.2 Optimus dialer, I'm not home, but you have to install via adb, till i get a zipfile to flash. Or if someone else could make one.

thanks so place .apk on root of SD card, then install via adb? ive never themed anything on android.

Sent you a PM.. oh those commands are if you place inside the same directory as your android tools folder.

He just flashed aospROM over Nameless....then flashed the button patch for aospROM, (which switches from Optimus V to S button layout). Not sure why he felt the need to flash Nameless first, or why he didn't do a full wipe when switching between such vastly different ROMs....
that's what I assumed, but the 'sprint' in both filenames made me think he flashed two different revisions of the button mod or something.

Question: Does A2DP work? I assume the phone supports it. Is this something in the ROM? Trying to get Blueant Q1 to play audio. Pairs fine and calls work fine... Am I missing something?

Just wanted to post and say THANKS for this!

I just got my Optimus S on Wednesday, and within 40 minutes had it rooted and this ROM flashed to it.

It's fast, amazing, and all the guides are perfect!

Coming from a Palm Treo Pro running a custom 6.5 ROM, it's apples and oranges.

Great work all!

Now, should another version come out, what are the guides to flashing a new version and not losing all the setup I've done (in addition to contacts, etc.)

There's an app for backup (Titanium) and also there's the recovery menu method. But I've yet to see how you "restore"

Got it working! Yah for me! Just disconnected the Q1, reset it, rebooted the phone and re-paired and all is good...

I love this phone and big Thanx to the Devs for all the hard work on this ROM as it makes this phone awesome! :D

A far as upgrading to a new version, you might not have to worry at all, unless there's a major change (i.e., a simple cache wipe is often all it takes). If there's a major software update (new version from lg that this rom is then updated to), then that often requires wiping and starting fresh.

To back up, you correctly identified 2 common methods, nandroid (in recovery) and titanium. Nandroid will make an entire snapshot image of your phone, which can then be restored later (helpful when flashing a new version or trying a new rom).

Titanium will backup your apps and their applicable data (i.e., your progress on angry birds). Use caution when restoring those apps on vastly different roms (android 2.2 vs 2.3) as you might run into issues from time to time.

Finally, regarding contacts, I highly suggest just storing all your contacts in gmail, it makes life so much easier never worrying about contacts being backed up.

Wired Tether

Has anyone made any headway getting WIRED tether to work? I get the invalid kernel error every time i try to use it. Hopefully someone has some idea how to get this working.

P.S. -- thanks for an AWESOME ROM

If we enable wired tether, we break usb mounting. So if you want a wired tether use PDAnet or EasyTether. Both are great applications.
