Just to add to the battery discussion; I had no problems with battery life until today. Before, I could get through the entire day without difficulties most of the time. Today, after 6h 49m, all of the sudden, my battery is at 3%!

What could have caused this? I played no games, a bit of texting, and 3 short phone calls. I checked the Battery Use utility, and have:
Cell Standby 39%
Phone Idle 36%
Voice Calls 16%
Android System, Wifi, Display all at 4%

I have read about some battery issues but none this sudden or extreme. The phone did feel a bit warmer than usual today, I have setCPU at 748 max, 245 min. Any ideas?

Try using a different ROM and see if that helps your issue. Make sure you have no apps secretly draining the battery. Make you wipe all the data when you reflash another ROM. If not, my suggestion would be to try another battery as there seems to be no reason it drain that fast.

It's still 2.2.2

The build.prop just says 2.2.1

wheeew (wipes forehead) lol but i have other issues, it also says im running thunderom v1.6.2 but my phone is clearly and flawlessly running nameless rom

Is it possible to load a linux distro on this with pixa0.7 kernel?

Have you tried this ROM?

I tried this rom with .6 and .7 kernel and 2 different ubuntu images. just seeing if anyone has actually had success.

We'll fix that in the next release.

I don't know enough yet to understand build.prop, but my "About phone" says Android version 2.2.2

Is there something wrong with my install?

Turns out that dude just flashed a thunderROM build.prop edit. Nothing needs changing.

If you want the build.prop edits from nameless then yes. But there is no immediate need to.

hmm am i doing something wrong? i have no idea how the gestures work on the ime keyboard. when can you use these gestures? i try when i'm typing a message but nothing works...i have gestures turned on and try swyping and stuff but nothing

hmm it says when dictionary is showing so i guess if i knew exactly what that is then maybe problem solved?

Menu > Settings > Language & Keyboard > HTC_IME mod settings > Gestures

Here you will find all your settings for gestures. I have mine set to hide keyboard, cycle keyboard (I deselected "compact QWERTY" at the bottom), cycle language, and delete last word. There is also a setting in there to use e volume rocker to move the cursor back and forth while typing. I love this feature.

this rom was worth flashing just for the custom keyboard - custom words and all the nice little mods! thanks guys

Thank you so much! "Nameless" is amazing as are the geniuses who put this together. Love it for many reasons but most of all for my Xoom to finally "see" my phone. Thank you!
