Thanks for the info. I didn't do the dirty flash because the problem is different.
In my case, I do not have a black screen. Instead, I freeze at the LG logo screen.
Anyway, I also tried the dirty flash trick and it still freezes at the LG logo screen. That's how I start to suspect the overclock issue.

If you had asked before you flashed the boot 600 zip I would have said do a dirty flash the LG boot issue is mentioned in post number 2.

Unfortunately I think at this point you are going to have to do a complete wipe again first.

I have a feeling that the boot 600 likely wiped out the tweaks command. You might try a dirty flash (flash reborn again without wiping anything), but it might cause issues if the original problem was truly overclocking. Either way, either live without the tweaks and overclocking, or try flashing again.

Reborn2.1 is not coded for the P500, it is coded for the LS670. In other words this ROM will not run on the P500.

yeah it wont work for your P500. This Rom only is available for the LS670 and I think the optimus V .

Are Beezy and KSmithInNY still working with you on this ROM? Haven't seen either post here in ages, and KSmithInNY now lists a Nexus S as his phone.

Not complaining, I'm grateful for the ROM and all the work the 3 of you have done, but am curious.

Alright, I have some bad news for me, but good news for you.

Bad news for me:
My Sprint account has been terminated for roaming too much and I have switched to T-mobile. If you are using the PRL hack, STOP.

Good news for you:
My new device is the HTC G2, which I do not plan to develop for because I'm happy with my modified version of CM7. This means that I don't have to rely on my Optimus to make calls or send messages. Now, I can have test builds on it constantly .

My to-do list:
- Release RebornROM v2.2 (after finals...)
- AOSP Gingerbread. I have a feeling that Sprint is dropping the ball on us (as usual) and will not push LG to get us Gingerbread. So I am going to put all my effort towards an AOSP Gingerbread build. I already have Ubuntu on my old laptop so maybe I can get into some kernel development as well.

Why am I developing for a phone that I am not using?
It's my hobby dum-dum! Now I can have a completely stable/usable phone AND a phone to constantly mess around with.

I spend whole day to follow this thread. well, seems my is different. after install reborn ROM, I couldn't access to market. I could use browser though. Since the only reason for me to root was to have hotspot, I returned back to the original ROM, which can also make hostpot work with wifi tether.
Any other reason to play this Reborn ROM? I have found the fonts are wider and little blur vs the origin.

Sorry to hear the bad news but some questions. Are you referring to the noIQ when you mention hack? I was having trouble getting good signal and it was mostly not good. I had gotten my prl updated to 1115 by you first build and thought that might have been the problem. I reverted back to stock to see if that could change my prl back to the usual I'm used to but it didn't change. I jumped back on board and and on Reborn again but I love it but was going to throw on the theme reTouched. So don't try it now??:-\

No, he's talking about a specific prl hack, not the noiq. You would know if you were running it.

After reading the instructions and checking my baseband version I became confused. I have version L670MVD_60401001. Am I ready to install the ROM now, or do I need to update first ? I see a VD in there, but it's not at the very end, so that's why I'm asking.

as long as your rooted and have a custom recovery, you are good to go

As long as you haven't already installed a new ROM, then yes, you have VD. Your SW version should also say "VD" at the end.

If you install Reborn ROM on the wrong baseband (VC, for example) then it will incorrectly display VD in the "About phone".

Doesn't sound like you've done that though, so you should be ready to go.

Thanks. Can't wait to install it and totally pwn my wife's stock optimis s. Only issue so far was I couldn' t download the rom from my phone. I had to use my pc. Hope all goes well with rom and theme installs. These forums are the best!
