Is it possible to flash the changed files on the ROM so I don't have to reflash the whole thing?
If so, what do I have to flash/push?
Also Nick, can you let me know what setting changed so I can Google it?

just compare build.prop and /system/etc/init.d/tweaks99 to the last release.

Haha I actually ran the two ROMs with Beyond Compare and it spitted out the differences. I saw that a lot of the old tweaks were removed (e.g. ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0) I thought stuff like these actually improved power savings, are did this make no difference at all?
Also it tells me boot.img was changed. Anything new there?

It should be the same, I'm taking a look at it right now. I hope I didn't change anything in the boot.img!

I think binary wise boot.img changed slightly, not too much though. Some kind of header or signature changes?
Also, can you let me know why those settings removed would boost battery life? Just curious before I push them on my phone.

The tweaks were made to improve performance at the cost of battery life. What I have in v2.1 is a good balance between performance and battery life.

And thanks for bringing up the boot.img thing. It seems as if I broke k0nane's fast transition script Uploading a fixed version now. If you aren't wiping data this won't affect you.

Don't bother flashing a new boot.img

And all of the build.prop edits would need to be tested individually to reveal battery saving/draining. I don't really have the time to test each one out individually so I only left the edits that I have thoroughly tested. If you want to test out some of the edits, feel free, I just took them out to be safe.

I recommend a full wipe no matter what, but I do not think it is a requirement if only updating from 2.0. noIQagent.zip from 2.0 will still be on your sd card after you update, mine did not get deleted.

i deleted the 2.0 zip and can't find a link to it. do you have the noIQ zip from 2.0 to share please?

i did a cache and dalvik wipe and flashed 2.1 and it seemed to flash fine. have a nandroid backup just in case. didn't notice totally horrible battery life with 2.0, though.

of course i came from a Treo Pro so i don't have a bar too high to set.

I just tried two live wallpapers, both were working fine.

For those of you who really want the noIQpatch, yes the one from Reborn v2 works. It isn't that big of a deal though.

I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier.. this was also running are launcher.. I didn't think of it. I will do some further testing. Also this is on 2. 0

And USB mass Storage with a micoUSB cable to a PC not working connects to the PC but dont give the option to Connect mass Storage anymore (had this issue since and update with tunderRom awhile back but have since then done a full wipe with namelessROM)

Will be trying this new update in hope to fix the USB issue will be wiping the phone once more to insure a nice clean flash

i figured that much about the EVDO network im just used to seeing 3G was all and i just switched to a ROM that nick has so yeah was used to seeing 3G XD but as for the USB issue im hoping a fresh Flash of this new update might get it working again
