AGREE TOTALLY WITH THAT!!!! I actually have my Optimus and my wifes set to 480 max and 122 min in set cpu with an interactive gov. Our phones are still snappier and faster with everyday tasks then her sisters "virgin" Optimus S. It's a shame cell makers develop such awe inspiring hardware then stick a 1400 or 1500 battery in them. What good is 1+ghz when u can last seven hours unplugged?! Hell my first pc was a Intel Celeron processor clocked at a whooping 300Mhz. I paid over $1000 dollars for it. This was only 14 years ago and while that might seem like a long time to some of our younger posters it really wasn't. HEH i remember upgrading that thing to an aftermaket EXTERNAL 56kbs modem ... man was I fast.... lol. Point being there will always be a faster or newer thing . I think this is a great phone for everyday use. You wanna play games and surf the net all day go buy a Nintendo 3ds or some such thing. lol Not flaming anyone just trying to point out there is no need for anything near the overclocked speeds most people have. If you like being the fastest more power to you enjoy the braging rights... my wife and I went to Hungry Mother State Park thurs-sat and never needed a charge. You try doing that with an Evo clocked at 1.2Ghz lol.

I found mp3's to stutter on my phone if I had the minimum set that low.

Oh, and btw, the first server I bought at work... was a 486/25 that cost ~ $13k... (330mb hard drives were $3k each)

to hell ! i get four day battrey outta my optimus one P500, o/c'ed at 729, min : 380.. smartass governer, some tweaks, CM7 gingerbread 2.3.3 (mik_os's) ! u try to get that from urs !!! its all abt improvement mahn !! what u get by making your phone underperform, i get by making my phone perform the best possible (both performance and battery wise ) !! !

You probably will get a notice for an OTA update if/when Sprint/LG issue an update, but the first rule is to never take an OTA update because you will most likely loose root and there is no telling if/when you will regain root after.

You need to pick "install zip from sd card" not "install update.zip"

Setcpu from the market. Or (free) nofrills CPU, will allow you to turn it back to 600, and you can even set it to stick on reboot.

overclocked, the phone might get lucky and get past the lg splash screen. it has no chance to staying up long enough to get to the market.

Only thing you need to do is set up your gmail account and enjoy the ROM.

Still Nothing Happening

I Must have my head up my A**.
I still can not get it to go into the right boot.:confused I am only seeing the one option the SD and Zip. I need some help i am seeing double right now and have been getting like 2 hrs a sleep for the past two weeks cause of the holiday and this is a new phone as some one knocked mine into the pool the other night. Is there any difference in a newer models that are just coming out?

I have an optimus S, and have had good times, until I installed the reborn rom. Now crashes consistently with facebook and myyearbook from market.. that is all installed from the market..
