[ROM] Redemption Rom v2.0.2

Lou, I have a request for this ROM... and I'm not sure if it's even something you can do. With the 2.2 update, there is an issue where if you're listening to music while using navigation, the music will not resume after navigation gives you a direction. In 2.1, it used to resume. Is there any way that you can fix that?

I don't think that the rom has much to do with the music glitch. I've had this problem with every rom I have tried. I would say its more of an app interface problem with 2.2 then a rom issue.

What's your clock speed? I assume you're using SetCPU, what're your settings?
Thanks for the help, and great scores BTW.

With Redemption 2.0.3 and KingXkernel #4 and #1 I've been getting 40 on Linpack and 1650 on Quadrant. But those are top end, average I've been getting 38 on Linpack and 1550-1600 on Quadrant.

Lou, I am loving your Rom, it is so good it has left me with not much to do. So I was poking around and found a boot animation I would like to use. Is adb the only way to change the boot animation. I do not know much about adb so I prolly shouldnt have toyed with my phone so much but you Devs make it so darn easy I couldnt resist.

Anyone know where an adb boot animation step by step guide is or a direction to point me. Also will all boot animations work w/ this phone/Rom.

I was thinking of this one http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f28/peeing-android-boot-animation-for-cyanogenmod-29721/

Lou, any feedback on my questions (post #62)?

I'm putting out an update tonight that should address almost all the issues in your post. You can take a look at the change log to see what I've done it's a minor update but I think it will polish things up a bit.

Awesome! :)

BTW, I forgot to ask...would it be possible to provide in the future a slightly wider launcher (i.e., buttons separated a bit more). I don't mind the "add shortcut" button been replaced by the browser one, but at least for my hands it seems the 3 buttons (phone, app drawer, browser) are too close to each other.

Coffee is on me!

I have tried several roms since I rooted, (which wasn't long ago), and of all of them I love this one. It's beautiful and I have all the good stuff without all the bloat! It's the first time I ever been able to go past 3 p.m. without charging.
Thanks! Now if I only knew how to use set cpu......:o

When I first installed 2.0.3 setCPU was not working with me while using the stock kernel. I would suggest downloading either KingxKlick BFS #1 or KingxKlick BFS #4 kernel once you have the rom running. With the SkyRaider ROM and #1 I've had very good battery life. Supposedly #4 is tweaked for "sense roms" but SkyRaider comes with #1 and works without issues. I would suggest settting setCPU to boot up with the "on demand" scaling feature as well as creating a profile for "Scree off" state so that the phone runs at a lower frequency when not in use. Hope this helps. :)

Ahh, I see. Will let you know how it goes. Thank you.

EDIT: Thanks a bunch. It worked. I love this ROM.

Possible email bug: some of my emails aren't being flagged as read. The gmail app makes them gray instead of white, but the counter at the top still says I have unread mail even when I shouldn't. If I log in to gmail in a browser, I will see emails that I have already read in the gmail app, but they are marked as unread. Ive tried refreshing the inbox in the app but that didn't fix it. It seems like its a problem with the app communicating to gmails servers. It's not a huge problem, but it happens to me about once a day, and I never had this on the stock ROM. I'm still VERY pleased with this ROM!

i decided to flash my first ROM. everything went very smooth but soooo many apps were forcing close i restored back. idk what happened.

Have been using this ROM all weekend and I absolutely love it. Just one thing I noticed today, I am not getting my MMS'. I am able to send them but not receive them. Anyone else having this issue?

i just downloaded the 2.0.4 rom also and i can say its pretty bad ***. the only thing i noticed thus far is the htc messages widget on the home screen, when you click the 3 lines to pull up all messages it doesnt work. you have to click on individual message and then menu all messages. a lil annoying but i can live.

also is there a way to delete dspmanager,es file, and spare parts, i have no need for them and when i go into applications, its unable to uninstall. sorry if its a noob question. thanks any way for your hard work.
