[ROM] RvU 1.3.2 WORKING 4G!!! Sync Fixed / ROM Manager Support

can someone post the .apk for the friendstream program? my titanium backup doesn't seem to have it, or it isn't real clear as to what it is named. thanks.

Sorry for the noobe question. How do I install this on my EVO? My Evo has not yet been fully root. Right now, I am using the Unrevoked and I did update my phone. Please help, I really want to try this and hopefully this will fix my WIFI signal issue. Thanks.

@ gbhil & TheKeithNewman

Well I've done some pretty extensive deleting of apps now and if I were you guys I'd avoid letting users remove Stock, Weather, News, FriendStream. The widgets should be fine although you might want to test that on your own but i found that when i removed the main apps I had very consistent duplicate-able problems. Some of the issues aren't so obvious until you try to open a menu or something then things go wonky but when i found a problem i checked then double checked it so ....

I'm going to take a small break from screwing with my EVO for a day or two clear my mind but if theres anything you guys need like use cases or anything just PM me, I'll be lurking Keep fighting the good fight.

Hello all. Long-time lurker, first-time poster (and rooter) here.

Followed the instructions in KSmithinNY's thread today, and was able to scrub my EVO clean of all the "extra" Sprint and HTC cruft. Unfortunately, I'm now unable to find an app I had previously bought (MLB At Bat 2010) in the Market. Any advice?

You are going to need to:

adb push FileNameHere.apk /system/app/

They wont install like a regular program

Come to think of it though, since we dont have full r/w you may need to follow the direction found HERE
only in reverse. Meaning use push instead of rm.

To be honest, I have not tried to push something back yet on the eVo, so try it both ways and let us know what works.

thanks was just trying that, but not getting far. probably leaving stuff out. and was using install and not push. will let you know. Do i have to push the odex also?

this is what i did, and what i got.

C:\Android_DEV\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb push C:\Android_DEV\Root_EVO\F-Stream\FriendStream.apk /system/app/
failed to copy 'C:\Android_DEV\Root_EVO\F-Stream\FriendStream.apk' to '/system/a
pp//FriendStream.apk': Read-only file system

Looks like you are going to need to follow those other instructions i linked to. instead of "rm" do "push"

push C:\Android_DEV\Root_EVO\F-Stream\FriendStream.apk' to '/system/a
pp/FriendStream.apk /system/app/

Try that and let me know how it goes.

Take this over to my thread please. I'd prefer not to clutter this thread with stuff from mine. These guys have enough to worry about. Thanks.

okay, here is my latest failed attempted. I'm not sure what i am doing here.

C:\Android_DEV\android-sdk-windows\tools>adb shell

this is trying to fix the ROM that is having issues. If ya'll want me to talk about it over there that is fine, but others in this tread are having the same issue with the sync.

You need to be in recovery for any of this to work. Are you doing this from your computer while the device is in recovery?

nope that would be a good reason. thanks rock crawler. yeah i missed that part. see it now.

That fixed me. Thanks.

Wasn't replying to you .... that was to someone else ... double check ;)

P.s. are you in recovery and still have the cmd window open from Windows-recovery.bat? Doesn't look like it to me
