[ROM] RvU 1.3.2 WORKING 4G!!! Sync Fixed / ROM Manager Support

Just wanted to share my support of this ROM. Before installing this, as well as messing around with other roms, my battery would drain horribly even when the phone was "asleep". At 7pm today my battery was at 55% and with no use whatsoever, at 3am, i'm sitting at 52%... 8 hours and 3% ... Big props to the creators of this ROM and Android Central for bringing it to us.

I'm using the newest release of this rom, 1.3.2 as well as the latest baseband update for the radio. I have always on data disabled, as well as roaming data disabled, and I have the few "sync" apps set to update very infrequently (and google sync disabled completely)

Thanks once again and keep up the excellent work.

Note: I do not use WiFi and i'm in a non-4G market.

I want to give this a try. My first dive into giving a custom rom on android a try. One question, if I install this ROM will I have access to protected apps and be able to redownload the ones I purchased if I do a full wipe?

I've installed this ROM, then installed ROM manager, and reinstalled using ROM Manager.. so now I can update the ROM easier.. Thanks for the great work guys!!

Im bout to pop open a sierra summer and flash this rom..This will be the first rom I flash for an Android device and very excited , everything sounds so good..i"ll give sum feed back once im runnin.

Is there a way to add the espresso bar to this rom? It really adds a nice clean look to the UI. Is there a way I can do this through a mod?

From this point forward - Stable release will be available via ROM Manager. Current stable release is 1.3.2 (same as download link in first post).

Test editions will be in first post in this thread, and once stable will be merged into ROM Manager. I suggest anyone who is only interested in using the stable releases, to update via ROM manager so the ROM is recognized and can be updated right through RM in the future.

Also, I really want to stress that users buy the premium version of RM. Koush and company are great people, offering a great product and their level of customer support is 5 star. RM is the only "automagic" app to flash and update that I have ever recommended, and the above is why.

Another also - A little bird just told me that themes for RvU are coming. Kick@ss ones at that We're looking for GREAT wallpapers (original work only please) and ringers/notification tones to include as we stray further from stock and into custom territory. If you have anything you think others would like to see included, contact Keith or myself via PM. Don't worry -- we won't cheese things up in the stable release, but we might (will? lol) make an UberCheese addition to flash for those that are true Cell junkies and want the memes and funnies , so send in those Rainbows and Unicorns lol.

A word about donations -
We don't accept them, but we realize that many of you DO want to express your appreciation. As others come on board (especially themes and the like) we encourage you to donate to them if you like what you see -- original content is worth a buck or two IMO.

just took this ROM, removed almost everything, including news, stock, weather, freindstream .... on and on and on. Got it down to 134 MB.

Did a full wipe, flashed the ROM and tadaaaaa. No sync-loop issues, no FC's getting into accounts & sync. No problems at all.

Keith and gbhil i sent you info in a PM but for everyone else, the problem is if stock, news, weather, and FS are in the ROM, you cannot flash the rom then remove them. thats whats causing the issue. They need to be removed from then ROM, do a full wipe (i wiped everything to be thorough), then flash the ROM.

If you decide to do this please do not post your issues on this thread. This thread is for these guys to work out issues specific to their ROM. If you modify their ROM in anyway, you could create your own issues that are unique to you, not their ROM. With that said, if you do find an issue of any kind please flash their ROM without making any changes then test. If it's still an issue absolutely let these guys know.

EDIT - If you remove certain things, some widgets may use them and you may not be aware of it and can cause a sync-loop. If you remove weather, then add an HTC widget that uses weather OR location (like the small clock that displays your city name?) you could cause a sync loop. The easy fix is either dont remove weather or dont use those widgets . I just selected "do not show my city" and it fixed the loop.

Just discovered a weird bug. When I dial local numbers without the area code (my area code is 210) the phone automatically uses the 617 area code instead of mine. Are either of you devs 617?
