[ROM] RvU 1.3.2 WORKING 4G!!! Sync Fixed / ROM Manager Support

ETA? and major changes? or?

With toast's NAND? I'll be in Honolulu this weekend and I am excited to see what 4G is all about since the San Francisco/Bay Area doesn't have it yet.

Just in case anyone is wondering. I confirmed 4G works with toast's NAND and RvU 1.3.2. I passed thru a 4G area today and was able to connect and browse. Speed didn't seem that impressive as I thought it might.... *shrug*

Kieth: I was looking another ROM where the developer said they "png optimized and zipalign'd" all of the apk's which supposedly provides a smaller apk file size that loads faster and aligned on 4-byte boundaries allowing all portions to be accessed directly with mmap() even if they contain binary data. Any thoughts on this approach?

I don't understand all this mumbo jumbo, how exactly do I use this? (I'm sorry, I've TRIED really hard to figure it out. It's just not clicking.) Any support/help would be seriously appreciated.

(PM would be best if you can help.)

Apologies if this has been brought up, but can you guys put the version number into Rom Manager? I don't run RVU at the moment but I keep checking to see if you have a new version out to try and there's no version number. Would be handy to have.

hey fellas.

guess my first post has to be an issue.

using the RvU from the first post. installed it yesterday, everything was cool.

starting at some point today, i started getting the white screen with the green HTC every time i press my Home button. then i get the spinning loading graphic while it loads up my home screen.

i assume it's a Sense issue, cause nothing happens when i use launcher or AWD launcher.

only got one hit when i googled the issue, and it was for a Hero. they suggested i wipe the cache in recovery, so i did that, but it didn't solve the issue either.

any thoughts?

thanks.

and really good work here fellas. really good.

Has anyone experienced random rebooted with this Rom. Also, recently, I noticed on the upper right part of my phone I have a green pixel. Which I'm assuming its a stuck or dead pixel. But if I turn the screen off and wait a few min the green pixel will go away but eventually comes back. Any ideas?

No reboots here. The pixel would be related to your screen and not your ROM. If it bothers you bad enough exchange the unit but a little bird told me Sprint is "technically" not supposed to replace it as a defect unless you have 5 or more dead pixels.

Nope. No random reboots here. I find this rom absolutely fantastic.

Things are working well, not much to report. Rom is overall very stable and speed and battery life are great.

I do have intermittent SD card issues, however.
I've replaced the card and they still occur. I notice the issue more using Beautiful Widgets with custom skins (stored on the SD card). The clock skin will disappear partially, indicating SD card reading issues, and then I confirm by trying to take a photo with the camera greeted with the "..appropriate permissions" error. I've noticed it less since switching to default skins in BW.

Heavy SD Card use by some apps seems to trigger it, as well; ex. titanium backup.

Not a deal breaker and I seem to have lowered the overall occurrence of this issue, but if anyone else has it too please speak up.

Have you tried the fix permissions button in clockwork rom manager?

So I am starting to notice that gmail Push isn't working all the time, or is this just google in general right now. I am having to refresh or goto the app to see new email. I don't always get the notification is basically what is going on. Other than that only one crash yet. It did so when I was switching from my plan none live sense scene to my Pixel Zombie live wall paper sense scene. Since then have not been able to recreate it. Is anyone else seeing a very very slow memory leak? After a fresh boot I have around 170 ish m free, in Advance Task Killer, after a couple days I am down to about 75m free. Reboot and all good again. Just some feed back nothing that I have issues with. I am still loving this rom with better battery and everything thing that I want \ need from sprint.

Noticed that function but I was unaware of its functionality! Thanks :)

Edit: worked like a charm. Oddly, after fixing permissions I can no longer see contact photos in the messaging app. Will report if this changes.

Just went into the stock messaging app and hate same problem except a few. No problems in chomp, though.
