The black MMS is posted on the Theme Team page in post 3 under extra's. It's just the standard LG MMS done black so it should work fine in shell

How difficult would it be to get the Launcher/Dock and Themes from Reborn to work on Shell ROM? From what I can tell the main reason the themes won't work is due to the toggles in the notification menu on Reborn but I don't care about those anyway so I figured they could just be removed. Basically I want my phone to act like Shell but look like Reborn lol.

I'd stick with Reborn but the battery life still leaves much to be desired....tho I admit it is slightly better in the latest version. I was looking into creating my own theme but it seemed easier to edit an existing theme (with the creator's permission of course) than to start from scratch.

What do you do with your phone that is causing it to get such bad battery life? And what you are describing sounds a lot like nameless rom.

There is more than just the notification power bar that is different... But that's a lil much to go into. Wrong thread anyway. U wanna tinker with a theme I have made feel free. I would advise to either start from stock shell and theme tho if u plan on using shell rom.

Well along with light phone and text usage I run like 2 or 3 widgets, sync my corp and gmail accounts, check 2 other email accounts every 30min, play words with friends a few times a day and listen to music on poweramp or pandora for around 2-3 hours a day. Every once in a great while I need to turn on vpn and rdp/ssh to something at work for a few minutes. Oh and I leave my screen at fully bright cause thats how I roll lol. I have been using the same stuff since I bought the phone and never noticed battery life issue until the 1st Reborn. Had to charge my phone twice a day to avoid dying. I flashed Reborn 2.2.2 last night and charged my phone to 100%, went to sleep for 7 hours and when I woke up the battery was at 83%. Thats much better than the previous version but still no Shell According to SystemPanel "system" was using over 3% on Reborn 1....now down to 1.8% on 2.2.2.

Eh if its gonna be a pain the i'll start from scratch. I just assumed it would be easier to edit than build but obviously I was incorrect. I appreciate your blessing to edit the theme though

I mean its not impossible but time consuming cuz they both contain different PNG images and have different services.jar files etc etc etc... But feel free to use the images in the themes and port it to shell if u want.

Because to be honest I think you will get the same results with Shell ROM. But whatever works for ya man. I never got really into the battery testing on Shell.

Yeah I never ran the whole systempanel test on Shell...mainly cause the battery lasts so long i never said "wtf is eating my battery". I may just do that tonight to try and give people a baseline for battery usage across different ROMS. Overall though both are awesome ROMS and I will probably stick with Reborn 222 because it SEEMS like it will last a day on a single charge now. Otherwise I need to make Shell look just as awesome and I'll be a happy camper.
