Ubuntu 10.04 is pretty nice man...

I was stuck on 8.04 and 8.10 for some time

took the dive and went into 9.04 and 9.10 as they were released....

10.04 is an LTS soooo its going to be pretty awesome as time goes on...

Cant Wait for 10.10 They claim a 10 Second boot up time

I dont Recommend Installing it first...

Install Windows 7 first create the Partition and install ubuntu on that...

Its always good to have a back up OS

Just dont do too many...

I was running 8 - 9 Different Linux Os' on my last HDD

Hence why its my Last HDD haha

Funny part about Linux its the same as Android you touch the wrong thing and you need to use ADB / Terminal to fix your screw up lol

messing up a phone is one thing...i can easily get it replaced or use another one i have laying around...my computer on the other hand...dunno about all that...i did just format from vista black to windows 7 tho lol

In an earlier thread I indicated that after switching from toasted's 2.1 ROM to the 2.2 that my battery life has gone down. I think I was wrong. When I switched over I also installed beautiful widgets. Apparently, when they give you the warning that using the GPS for weather updates uses significant battery life, they really really mean it. So, if you use beautiful widgets, TURN GPS OFF (in the widget settings, not on the phone generally).
EDIT: On reread, I missed the point --> my battery problem was not the ROM. sorry, toasted for suggesting it might be otherwise on here.
