No changes were made in the beta that would have used any additional /data.

I've checked about everything i can think of and i now believe 100% that LG is just sloppy and left some verizon code in. Man we (the dev community) really should be paid by these carriers and manufacturers lol
 
Yeah but gotta think. They release these phones to the general community population, most of them don't know anything even about these devices, besides the younger gen. They go and purchase and are willing to buy anything that's suppose improve the phones perforamnce when they notice its "slowing down" or in some cases they'll just go buy a new phone. Or stick to the old non android phones.

Conclusion is in my theory, were developing for our own uses and pleasure etentainment etc etc. :p

U got some vzw .so files or what lol. Sounds more and more like the GB update to the Optimus S.

I just wanted to say,
I finally got my phone working the way I wanted it to,
It's smooth (close to optimus V standards)
and it fast.
I guess the LG build really makes a different

yeah, surprise surprise huh? They didn't screw this up as bad as your guys build but still same mistake twice.

Awesome glad things are working out. I'm a complete cell phone junkie so i just want people to enjoy their phones as much as i do. I'm partial to android but i do own some blackberries (and do a little work on them too) and even an iphone. Operating system aside, manufacturer aside, carrier aside, a person should enjoy their device first and foremost.

Wait until someone comes along (and they will) that does this ...
1) Didnt research the phone prior to purchasing
2) Wasn't happy with it after purchase, but didn't return it for a different phone within the allotted time
3) Comes here and complains and acts like they are a victim.

I was testing some stuff earlier and flashed a pure stock untouched build which includes the stock kernel. Going between this ROM + drews kernel, and 100% stock build made me appreciate even more what were doing lmfao.

Might have a new build up later tonight with some tweaks as an early Thanksgiving gift to all as i will not be doing any developing tomorrow.

new build up, changelog has details. Heading out for the night and will be away from the forums. Backup before you flash, dont forget to reflash drews kernel cause the LG kernel sucks.

Dunno if this counts as a complaint toward your ROM, but two weird things happened again:

Opera Mobile (big app, of course) stopped working when attached to phone memory (normal memory) or to the SD card (via Apps2SD)... would show its splash screen then exit, without any errors. I reinstalled your ROM and it worked again.

But now I cannot get into adb shell. I keep on getting "error:closed." PDANet is functional for me (which is weird, because last time it wasn't when I got the same errors), so I'll have to puzzle over this... again. Anyway just wanted to let you know that at least one error can be instantly solved by re-flashing.

Thank you for the trouble. ADB shell seems to be rejecting any ROM of yours besides the stock one right now... again, this puzzle fixed itself before so don't sweat too much, at least not yet :p

Below is a detailed log of my activities. Note I did restart both my laptop and my phone, as well as reinstall ADB drivers, halfway through. I may be due for an ADB driver update, haven't checked.

I've confirmed adb shell hasn't worked for at least the past 3 releases then stopped checking, but does work on the stock rom so I'll chase that down. If it's caused by something that I consider valuable then I'll document it in post #2 like the widget bug and my response is TS. Otherwise I'll fix it when I figure it out.

In the interim, TE seems to work fine.

So I flashed the 11 24 ROM and forgot to flash drews kernel over it. Phone booted up and I noticed the phone a lot less responsive and laggy and I'm thinking what the hell happend? Went to my system info and saw I fogot to flash the kernel. Yeah that how much of diffrence you guys make for us. I don't know how I used my optimus v stock. I don't even use it anymore and I flashed all of your guys stuff to that phone just in case. Now I have my optimus slider pimped out as I say and a kickass backup optimus v. Thanks guys :)

Just wanted to note on a possible bug on the Gelato 11-21 build of the ROM. After I used it a few days ago I noticed when sending a picture message that the indicator would always show the 1x instead of 3G when I had at least 3 bars. After a reboot of the phone it would still show the 1x. I know for a fact that it wasn't my connectivity or the Virgin Mobile service because I flashed over the stock-untouched ROM with the stock kernel and it would send the picture much faster and displayed the 3G icon instead.

Has anybody else experienced that? I'm staying with the stock-untouched ROM for now until I can gather more information before going back to this ROM. I haven't noticed any fixes for this problem in the changelogs so I'm wondering if it's just me or the ROM.

There is a 11 24 build that works great, don't forget to flash drews kernel on top of it. I just send a picture not too long ago and it went with 3g and I hardly had one bar.
