[ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-28 For Virgin Mobile Optimus Slider

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-28 For Virgin Mobile Optimus Slid

Is there any word on adb shell being restored?

And have you considered automatically wiping /cache and /dalvik in the install script? I saw how to do that somewhere...

e.g. delete_recursive DATA:dalvik-cache
delete_recursive DATA:cache

...not sure of the syntax for this particular ROM :-\

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-28 For Virgin Mobile Optimus Slid

Is anyone having issues with the latest 11/28 build? Specifically it failing to boot.

I'm trying to track down an issue, and I think the reboot mod may be to blame.

No boot issues here. I've used the reboot function from the power menu many times and the phone boots up perfectly.

Just flashed the Rom and kernel last night. Used my bluetooth headset almost 4 hours, texted a little bit. Rebooted twice (manually through to power button). Everything works great so far. battery life is pretty great (still have 85% after 9 hours)! Thats pretty amazin compared to mirage's latest build on the optimus V.

GOOD WORK DEV TEAM HYDRO WHOOOO!

I have tested the reboot mod successfully. Although prior experience has also taught me this ROM requires a second flash sometimes... That and/or deleting dalvik and cache is something I did on a "does my heart tell me I should" basis.

Don't ever do anything based on your heart. It lies.

Sent from my Optimus Slider

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-28 For Virgin Mobile Optimus Slid

It was pretty much stock setup not much apps no widgets. I was just testing it out for someone. I also used titainium to erase the stock crap apps.

On a side note since I was just roming this phone for someone, I need to erase my google account from that phone so I can give it back. But when I go to the recovery I erase Data, dalvik, and cache and then flash the rom again, it wont boot up. Im forced to restore my backup. Is there any way of removing my google account from this phone??

Or better yet, how can I delete the data too so I can start from scratch? Full wipe in the privacy menu?

do a data/factory reset in the cwm recovery. dont go to privacy and reset or youd brick the phone

I would also like to know if this works on the lg l55c. My phone is rooted and has recovery

Re: [ROM][Team Hydro] Gelato 11-28 For Virgin Mobile Optimus Slid

First off, thank you for putting the time and effort into optimizing the stock ROM for the LG Optimus Slider. I know it takes a dedicated effort to produce a quality product. :-)

I want report a possible GPS issue with Team Hydro LG Optimus Slider ROM, however. Looks like the GPS is wigging out after upgrading to this ROM. Using the GPS Test app, the app sees a bunch of sats but the accuracy floats between 200 and 400 ft; prior to ROM replacement, the same app would go down to 15 ft accuracy, which was normal. Looking at the changelog, I see a change was made to make the GPS acquire faster (and it is from what I have noticed), but, apparently, those settings have thrown off its accuracy.

KSmithInNY:
Are you done with this rom now,
or are you still working on things?
just wondering :D

There's stuff going on but I'm comfortable enough now where things are that I can slow down and work on it in my free time.

Try taking out the battery, then hold the down volume button down while simultaneously holding down the power button with one hand, then insert the battery and hold until in recovery mode. I'm not entirely sure if that'll work, but seems plausible.
