I have the same issue.

I think this is how the button is mapped. The voice button is mapped as an additional power button.

There are a couple of issues being asked about over and over, let's try to clear them up:

1- Swype not active after reboot.
This is because it is a beta, and as such is not incorporated into your framework.
If you have it installed on your SDCard, then every time you do anything that
remounts your SDCard, you will have to re-enable Swype. Being an input method,
it MUST be available at all times, which is why you have to re-enbable it.

2- Battery usage is poorer
This is harder to nail down. If you didn't wipe all caches when installing, you should.
If you are experiencing dramatic battery drains, check your settings to see which app is draining it.
If you have had any apps FC (force close), they may not have closed their services.

3- Buttons not mapped correctly
This has been mentioned at least 50 times in various threads. It is a simple fix, takes 5 minutes total.
For the voice search button acting like a power button, download ButtonRemapper from the market,
then remap button 216 to whatever you like. If you map it to the search button, then you can also
use it for long presses to activate a different app/feature. Mine activates VoiceActivations(sp) and Search(lp)

The Swype info is from the Swype Beta Forums.

When I installed this ROM, I had an issue on the second day where my camera wouldn't start. About an hour later, I was trying to get it to work again, and noticed my battery had drained by 50% in that one hour. I went back into recovery, wiped caches again, rebooted, and waited a good 5 minutes after reboot to insure everything started right. Since then, I have had zero battery issues, and I get 26-34 hours usage depending upon how much I use it and what apps I use.

this is my first try and so far the flashing went ok from what i can see but i hava few problems

1verclocking really dose not work i crash a lot lol @787 and above i would like to go higher

2:my camera works but as soon as i take a pic or start to record video it gets laggy then i get a force quit its pissing me off i take a lot of pics

should i jusr relflash to see if it fixes the problem ... ?
and if do reflash how would i go about doing so just go into recovery then flash again .?

Yes go back into recovery and do a wipe and re-flash (if it makes you fell better)

But that will not fix your overclock - some phones have a higher ceiling then others so don't get your hopes up.

1. The button remapper software I installed doesn't work (freezes phone). Which app are you guys using, and what key should I remap? The long press search doesn't pull up voice search. Right now, it pulls up the messaging ap.

2. Are there any Circle Battery Mod's for this rom?

3. Where can I find other Metamorphs, or themes? (I see there is a theme manager in this rom)

4. Is there a mod to put always have the date on the top left corner

5. Can I remove the standard launcher and use launcher pro? (I was thinking of renameing launcher.apk to .backup or something.. is that OK?)

You can use any launcher you want. Just make it the default after installing and hitting the home button and the pop-up asking what you want to use for this task.

1- The app I use is "Button Remapper" in the market.

2- There are lots of circle mods, but most require a deodexed ROM, and CM7 isn't yet.

3- Do a Google search for ADW Launcher themes

4- Not that I know of, but I'm certain it exists

5- You can use any launcher you like, just install it, and then reboot, and when you press the home key, you will be given options which launcher to use.

It's around 170mb. I installed a few apps and some are obviously on SD card by default but I still have 150mb left.

I have not been able to send MMS yet using this ROM though. I think I am the only one who has the problem so maybe it's some setting I disabled.

So i just installed..fixed one issue...seems the clock on the taskbar is wrong, but when I open clock it has the right time?

ok thanks i know it wont fix the over clocking when i asked that i was thinking more of fixing my problem w the camera but i figured out why it would crash it is because i was overclocked lol if i am overclocked the phone restarts but now im not in the mood to o.c anymore

Is anyone running fancy widget pro with this rom? When I turn to landscape, the mins and hours overlap. Any one else run into this? Anything I can do to fix it? Also, facebook keeps force-closing.

Edit: Downloaded adw and fixed the widget. Facebook still is force closing when I try to check my messages. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Derp. Sorry! I said ROMTools, but I meant ROM Manager.

There's no option in ROM Manager for any version of the Optimus, despite the fact that we have a compatible version of CWMod
