i was having a lot of trouble with this when i started. i just needed to read directions to find out i didn't do what i thought i did: flashing a new recovery. after that it went smooth and im very pleased. is File Manager and some of the other preinstalled apps safe to uninstall? i prefer a different file manager and wanna get rid of the other one. thanksfor everything:D

I think File Manager is a system file, and it's pretty small. You might leave it installed, and go ahead and use another file manager. Uninstalling system apps can sometimes cause issues.

Use Titanium Backup to do a complete backup of apps+system_apps+data and you'll be covered if you do uninstall something you find you need later.

Ugh...I can't get a data connection with my phone. I had this issue previously and the solution involved forcefully making the phone activate through the activation app, but thats not available for this rom and neither is the plethora of dialing codes that don't work with this rom (##virgin# and others). What can I do to get data back?

  1. Back up your phone.
  2. Flash a Froyo rom.
  3. Run the activate app.
  4. Restore your backup.

I just helped another user with the exact same method two days ago. It does work, and as mmarz says, it's the only way to run the activate app.

The other way you can do it is to do a cold boot, pull your battery for 10 minutes and put it back in, it reset my radios and my 3g worked alot better

Anyone having bluetooth problems?

With the 0601 version of AOSP, the phone forgets my bluetooth pairing every time I reboot the phone.
So I have to press the pairing button on my BT device, tell the phone to scane for devices, and pair the device every time.
Actually, I've been experiencing this same problem with bluetooth since the 5/23 ROM... Also, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one experiencing failed installs of 6/1 ROM using the ROM Manager and CWMOD 3.2... Any word on when this will sorted out?

So is the camera and autofocus working properly with this latest release, or not? I'm seeing mixed reports... does it have something to do with what recovery used to flash the ROM?

please nobody kill me. but.... ive been goin through these pages and i cant find the solution to the a problem im having. picture messages i receive come in as 9999999999 and a bunch of symbols. help please. other than that this rom is beautiful.

There is no option to select LG Optimus One. I see V though.

There is in the newest version. Make sure you're updated first, and that you've hit "manual flash override"after hitting the menu button. There is an LG Optimus V option, but the ROMs aren't there for some reason...
