Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - v0.2 - 7/4/2011

Is anyone else getting a DSP Manager error/force close once in awhile when trying to place a call? I just had it happen to me a couple of times and didn't know if anyone else had the issue.

Update coming later today if I get some time. While patching fixes that blarf made I neglected to copy over the wpa_supplicant.conf file and broke wifi.

Changes and fixes will include:
- Ringtone through speaker instead of earpiece
- Headset sound should work with in bound calls
- In-Call volume fixed
- Video playback and recording fixed
- LCD Density put back into build.prop
- Theme Chooser

There is still the random green line on pictures that are taken while zoomed in.

Thanks to blarf for all the fixes!

Personally I wouldn't mind actually seeing a CM7 port that works to integrate all the CM7 features, in to something that possibly could become an official CM7 ROM. Probably alone on this, I guess though :( Really don't like losing the customisation potential from it, plus it seems (to me at least, I could be wrong) that it'd be easier to just get it made official, then would be able to toss it over to the Cyanogenmod Devs for the hard work.

I would also like to see this.

I haven't had that happen to me thus far. It has crashed while I have been playing music though. Do you have any settings enabled for the phone speaker?

And by any chance, do you or any other members on this forum know how to get the Optimus S to work on MetroPCS as far as data/mms? I have asked around and a few people have said they would help...but haven't heard anything in over a month from em =/. Anywho, cant wait for the next release of this Rom, cause its AMAZING! I dont see myself changing roms till the official gingerbread releases....and when it does... I still may not switch!

I was getting this with my last rom. Package file is invalid errs or the download would simply vanish. Installing this rom fixed that issue.

Package file is invalid is a common error, I've had it too. Generally, uninstalling the app, clearing cache, and restoring the app will fix it.

it was more than one app causing problems. something in the os or market got corrupted.

I'm still looking for a /zip/ of the stock MetroPCS and Cricket phones for exactly that purpose.

Can you get a backtrace with 'adb logcat'? That sounds like it's a CM7 problem, unfortunately. I've actually never seen this problem. What DSP Manager settings are you guys using?

I will keep that in mind so if I come across it, I know who to send it to. I really would love to have MOBILE internet on my phone....wifi just isn't everywhere sadly lol

Re: [ROM][WIP] Unofficial CM7 (Gingerbread) - v0.2 - 7/4/2011

This may have been reported already if so I missed it sorry: When on a phone call my proximity sensor disables the screen but does not re-enable it.

I changed around my power control toggles making one of them control the lock screen function, this morning while half way asleep I tapped it by accident and toggled the lock screen off on my phone. Tried toggling it back on and the lock screen did not return, I wound up leavign the toggle set to on and restarted the phone to get my lockscreen back. Anyone else seen this?

Edit: To weigh in on pure gingerbread vs CM: honestly the main thing I wanted from either is the dsp eq, beyond that, I love having power control toggles, rotary lockscreen and lockscreen music controls with a headset connected. Keep these and you'll have no arguments from me. ;)

I find that attaching via USB and deleting the contents of
.android_secure fixes it when its not 'app specific'.
