Drat, can you see if supersu is even within system/app (called super user there) or the app drawer?

Edit: its there within the file I uploaded so I will have to search for a fix. If you stumble upon a fix let me know.

Yeah, I am a total noob today :raises hand: Thats me. I didnt verify the su binary was in place. Any how, untill I can re upload the whole darn thing, here is a quick fix to flash in place.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/35358768/su.update.zip

I am updating again LOL. Updating to goo.im servers as we speak. I am NOT changing the version name this time as it now includes everything I planned to begin with. Seems the terminal emulator I include pushed an update today after I had pulled my updated apks. So once again here is the new list of what it includes

Incoming Updates
-Now has HydroKernel baked in -Add Goo Manager support, download and flash my rom (and others) directly from within the Goo Manager app -Update root package to SuperSU (really works now, thanks to my secret tester :P) -Update all native apps to maximize internal space; i.e. Maps, Gmail, PlayStore

Re: [ROM][ZVJ] 2.3.3 DanteRom v2.5 [UPDATE] 08/12/2012

I've downloaded a couple of times and tried installing from both downloads. I get the error:

E:Wrong digest:
data/app/term.apk
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted

I checked the Md5 of the second download and the numbers are correct. But I'm probably missing something really simple.

Solved. I am running Cannibal One Touch recovery and I disabled the md5 signature check. Installation complete and I'm playing with the ROM. Looks great!

Installing my apps as we speak. Seems to work fine. No noticeable bugs. Will report back tomorrow with a night to charge and think about what it's done... ;-)

So, we need to disable signature check after all?

Re: [ROM][ZVJ] 2.3.3 DanteRom v2.5 [UPDATE] 08/12/2012

I'll install the update tonight when I get home from work. So far, really liking DanteRom, way better than stock zvj :-)

Also, the boot animation kicks ass!

Now for stupid question time, is the Battery Bar mod supported on the newest versions, post 2.1, or only 2.1/2.3?

The battery bar should work. I did nothing to to those frameworks. As for flash, no it is not signed my bad. By the time I reuploaded the last time I was rushing and forgot. Just disable the signature check.

Re: [ROM][ZVJ] 2.3.3 DanteRom v2.5 [UPDATE] 08/12/2012

DanteRom Updates
v2.5 Updates +Settings Menu modified to remove "Privacy>Factory Reset" as an option due to brick dangers. +New Boot Animation added. This is an animation that I have modded from the AOSP 2.3 bootanimation.zip. Please give feedback!

Instructions:

-Download DanteRom.v2.5.signed.zip [MIRROR]place on the root of the SD card
-Boot to Recovery, Cannibal Open Touch recommended but Xionia is still okay. (power down, then press Home, Vol Down, and Power and hold to the first LG splash)
-Create a nandroid backup, this is a must.
-Perform a full wipe, I use Debug-FormatALL.zip if on Xionia for simplicity. Seems Zefie's link is down so I uploaded it.(Zefie's page with the debug zips)
-Disable Signature Verification and (now signed!) Flash the zip file.
-Reboot and Enjoy!

Kernel: (optional, but recommened)
-Please install Rom and boot into the rom first. Then download the kernal of your choice and place on the SD card. Boot into recover and flash, no need to perform any wipes
-drewwalton19216801's HydroKernal GB is my recommendation found here!

.
ATTENTION When switching to Dante.Rom.v2.5.signed.zip from you MUST perform a full wipe. Not doing so breaks functions within the QuickPanel Mod, and maybe others. Do NOT report any issues if you have not.

Does anyone else get non-matching md5 hashes on the Debug-FormatALL.zip file between the two links? I'm guessing Zefie's page links are correct because the Debug-FormatSYSTEM.zip hash matched what I already had.

Can you check the one from goo manager? /dev/hlxanthus/optimus_s/mods please. I am working to switch my file hosting there. I just haven't updated all my links yet.

Since I'm not familiar with Goo Manager, is that something I can just access from my desktop? Phone has low power and not yet on DanteROM (maybe not until this weekend).

Edit:
Your goo file: 0798f5fce4438fc99fb5a8b32d7ce03b
Zefie's file: 2e7cdaf32c7505bcb6efafb59f997884

which is right?

Testing note: Experiencing problems unlocking from sleep

Reproduction: Allow phone to sit unmolested for 20 minutes, then try to unlock using only power button (not tested with other buttons, as I've edited their commands). Phone does not screen on. Screen turns back on when power button is held (power menu).

Possible cause: could be a key remap issue, though I didn't change any values for the power button, so it SHOULDN'T be a problem. Will retest tomorrow using pure clean flash with no button remap.

There is such an issue with all stock zvj ROMs. It usually rights itself after a few days at most. Also try upping minimal clock speed to 320. Let me know how it goes.

Goo manager is an app from the play store similar to ROM manager (but without the same risk). It links to goo.im (that's a website), which is a hosting site for android devs. With it, and a recovery that supports open recovery scripts (twrp or cannibal open touch are such for the optimus s), you can use it to download and install ROMs or any zips. For example you could use it to download the ROM and the format all zip for my ROM then flash both all from within the goo manager app. Also it will automatically notify you when a new update is ready to install. VERY handy tool indeed :D

Why do you think the button mapping suddenly rights itself, and how would min clock speed of 320 help? Just curious, since my min has been at 225 since using Reborn. The 225 is probably a factor in seeing upwards of 90 hours on a charge.

Edit
: 245 as a min, der.

It is not a button mapping issue at all. It is that the phone sleeps too deeply sometimes to wake (why raising clocking often helps).
