When you go into your applications, do you see a new one called Super User?

Thanks for the help. I've never used Odin so I missed the part about launching that on my computer.

How do I know if it worked? It rebooted but I don't really see anything different.

Look in your app drawer. Is there a superuser icon in there? That's how you know you're rooted.

Just rooted my GS3 last night using Oden and flashed Liquid Jellybean. so far so good im loving it

I've read somewhere about the problem of releasing the second party on a 3-way call as well as making a second 3-way call if one of the parties hung up on their own, which the GS3 with Verizon wont do by default, can be done by doing the following:
"Root your phone and flash cm9 or 10, The dialer on this rom will allow it"
Though in many forums people suggest its a CDMA versus GSM issue, its not. All Verizon 4G phones are on the CDMA network and i can release the 3rd party on any of the Motorola phones but not on any of the Samsung phones. (On the Motorola, tho its not a screen easy option, you do the following: click home, people/contacts, little phone iconat the bottom, and then the green phone icon, which disconnects second party without ending the entire call and you can then initiate another 3-way call), On the Samsung, with Verizon by default, even if one person hung up on their own you can't initiate another 3-way call. btw, with the samsung on at&t and tmobile you can do it with an easy on-screen option, its only Samsung with Verizon combined.
Has anyone tried solving this problem with rooting successfully? (or any other method)
