Send me a link to the boot animation you want to flash and I will make it flashable in CWM 2 if that is a problem.

Otherwise the code I used should flash, are you getting an error when you flashed the Remove Boot Animation zip?

I didn't try because you emphasized the flash a new boot ani immediately and I was unsure if what I had would work, and without root explorerer (which I should probably just grab) I was a bit paralyzed worrying about getting errors with none immediately available to flash.

Hey no problem friend. Gave me a chance to practice my "growing" scripting skills...

Keep that zip handy for future, next time you flash a ROM it will be the same thing over again if it doesn't have a custom boot animation.

Have you converted to EXT4? It is required to run this ROM.

I tried this out but after did the whole "run" gimmick, when CWM told me to reboot, I got stuck on the Samsung.com screen. is there any reason why?

I have the ACE rom with genocide 0.3a kernel. I have some questions that im hoping an expert can answer:

Using linux on my home computer, im aware that cpu frequency is one way that an operating system can attempt to curb battery usage (on a laptop). Cpufreq will scale down the clock speed in steps (whatever the cpu is capable of) when it is not being used to facilitate more efficiency.

The genocide kernel at idle runs at 200mhz, while the stock kernel runs at 100mhz at idle. Does the undervolt still apply at 200mhz compared to the stock running at 100mhz? From my limited experience overclocking, I know you can raise the base clock on some mobos/cpus without changing the cpu voltage, which despite the higher clock speed and better performance would theoretically use the same power (assuming you dont have issues).

My question boils down to this: does the genocide kernel at 200mhz still run 25 milivolts less at that clock than the stock does at 100mhz; does the genocide kernel save battery life when the phone is idling compared to the stock kernel?

I understand the POINT of the genocide kernel is performance, but i figure if the genocide kernel can save power in an idle state, without raising the clock above 1ghz, it could be a nice power saving option.

The CWM link is broken as well. If I used CWM3 for TER is that the same thing or do I need to download a different version specific to EB13?

CWM 3.0.0.6/EXT4 is for Froyo EB13 .

CWM 3.0.0.5/EXT4 is for Froyo DK28

I followed all instructions and everything but when i go to reboot after flashing eb13 my screen will not go pass the samsung screen (very first screen you see when starting up your phone)

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP me my phone is useless right now!!
