Rooted and Overclocked, AMAZING!

I pulled out the SD card out of my blackberry and it wouldn't mount that either. So, I screwed something up. I'm running sholes 2.0.3

Yes you did and does it see your sdcard while in the recovery menu. Sorry for all the questions just haven't run into this yet. But best bet wipe that bad boy and take it into Verizon
And will the sm updater take you back to stock

wipe the SD card? or the whole darn phone?

Nah you have to hold x and the power button at the same time while the phone is off and that should reboot you into recovery

damn! This thread got moved and I lost track of it, looks like it's been busy in here.

prometheus - I'm so sorry you had so much trouble getting your phone rooted, and now you're having more problems? Sorry man, it went so seamless for me, I just assumed it was pretty simple stuff. BUT, at least you've gotten to see how fast and amazing your Droid can be, all you have to do is figure out this SD Card thing. I wish I could help but I really don't know how to diagnose it, but anytime I've run into problems while jailbreaking my numerous previous iPhones, I just repeated repeated repeated until it worked. I thought I bricked each of my iPhones multiple times, but I kept messing with them, sometimes for HOURS and they always came back to me.

GOOD LUCK!

OK good it just may be something in that specific rom that killed your driver for your sdcard let me know if you can get it in your card and applied
And are you doing this from your comp or am updater. Sounds stupid but i must ask

It's all good, this is just a temporary hiccup. I come from the blackberry world. I ran hybrid OS, removed vendor codes, built themes, hacked that thing to death -- There were many late nights where I had nothing but a paperwieght for a phone - but, by morning it was all smooth sailing.

We'll get it. The droid is much more forgiving than the blackberry. This is nerve-racking 'cause I'm new at this. Anything less than the phone being on fire would have not even caused a raised eyebrow with the blackberry. I'll get there. It's sad being a noob.

I think you meant SMupdater, right? 'cause I never heard of an am updater. Anyhow, I'm downloading stock zip with the SMUpdated on the droid.

Strange thing is, I did have access to the SD card earlier today (after root and flash). I moved pictures around and created folders --I wanted it to look better in the new gallery. Then I went away and came back later and the next time I plugged in - no SD card found and no option to mount. It happened soon after i downloaded home++. I uninstalled that and still no mount option. Something with Home++ I think screwed me up (somehow)

Yeah I typed sm updater dearn auto correct. But if your downloading it then your sdcard still works because that's were it stores the rom. Did you wipe sholes 2.03 from your card if not just reapply that and it should wipe whatever home++ did to your phone

Sorry for the run around and all the other steps but sm updater putts the rom in your sdcard so if it cab see it and right to it you phone can home++ probably but a bad block in your system

wow, that's really strange. I went back to stock, usuing SMupdater and now SDcard mounts fine.

Ok, here we go again. I kinda like turtle's plan -- just keep repeating the process til it works. I'm gonna make this device say, "uncle" first.

Failure is not an option. I will be rooted, using the bitchin bagle rom, and overclocked, with SD card use, and home++ before I sleep.... or, until my wife hollers at me to, "quit playing that *&%# phone and come to bed!!"

I like that mentality next time prior to loading home++ do a simple nandroid backup and if it does this again just restore back to your previous state

something is definitely wrong witht he SD card, I just opened SMupdater (to root again) and I got the message "an error has occurred! /sdcard/update.zip" So, what does this mean?

never mind, i unmounted the card and THEN opened sm updater. Worked fine - it must not like downloading the zip while it's connected.
