Ok, I'm kinda in the same boat as the OP, but I've learned a little in the short time since I rooted my OV (1 week). I'm unclear about matching kernels, recoveries, mods, and tweaks. I have the ZV9 update and am currently running CM7 Backside IHO and kernel 2.6.32.9-v3.7. I had the V6 super charger tweaks running but I partitioned my SD card and those scripts disappeared. If I want to try out JB do I need to flash a kernel? Do I need to go with CM10, AOKP, or AOSP? Has V6 been superceeded by Amphetamines? There is so much going on or has gone on, it is a bit confusing.

Oh and I liked what I have but my wifi no workie. I can't have that.

Edit: I found from reading up on another mod that the Supercharger 3G script killed their wifi, so I did a nandroid restore that did not include the V6 scripts and my wifi restored.

Hey all just updating. I'm very pleased how my Droid is running and still using the same flash. Just the spare room I have is great. At some point ill flash something else to try out but just to lazy. This forum is a wealth of great info
