I got rooted 2.3 installed on my Droid X last week after only one bricking due to my inability to follow directions :). So far I've been very happy with it, although I've noticed significantly worse battery life than with Froyo. Anyone else having battery issues? For example, I left the house at 8am this morning w/ 100% battery. After four hours of minimal use I was down to 30%! I have been using the SPB launcher (yes, I shelled out the $15 for it like a dummy, but it's VERY cool) which may be causing some of the battery drain. But I'd be curious to see if anyone else on rooted 2.3 is having issues.

I noticed battery drain does appear to be faster than Froyo but not extreme.. I can say one thing about SPB launcher is that I have seen it cause a larger power drain, have you check battery manager to see what levels of power usages all apps are using.

The first 3 days it sucked down battery, but now it seems to be sipping energy better that Froyo. I keep my stock battery topped off and in my bag just in case the extended one empties out.

It's hard to say, it's been getting toyd with a lot more since the install, but today is about normal use and battery usage seems about the same as Froyo.

New toy syndrome. It will calm down after a while once you have everything set up right. "With great power, comes great responsibility" aka more juice!!

Didnt realize they released for final build... See what you did :p , made me want to experiment with SPB Launcher but I am searching for one of my site that is discounting it, it does seem nice and smooth..

I've gotten an increase in battery life with GB. Powered on at 5am and I'm still at 80%. It's about 20 min till 4pm. :)

Haven't done much with the phone though. 5 -10 minutes worth of calls. 10-15 texts, and checked Facebook a few times.

For me GB has been spectacular in the battery life department. It has been way better than froyo.
