My Nook Color is running 1.0.1 rooted with Autonooter and I have the 950mhz kernel flashed. It currently takes about 2 1/2 minutes to boot up. My SD card is a 1GB class 2. Will buying a larger class 10 card make it boot faster?

If you rooted the stock ROM the SD card should not matter since you are running off the unit's internal memory. Pop out the mSD card and see if it has an effect.

FWIW, mine boots in about 10 seconds. I am running 1.1.0 rooted.

It made a major difference. Probably 30 seconds max boot time. Why would it boot so slow with the SD inserted?

Just a guess, but perhaps the kernel thinks there is something wrong with the filesystem on the card and runs a disk checker prior to mounting. Try reformatting the card or using another card.

The SD card is the autonooter one if that makes any difference. Its partitioned how do I clear the partitions?

Dude! There's your problem right there.... it sounds like it's trying to reboot through the Autonooter every time... all you really need to do is reformat that card and slap it back in there, should fix it.

That was the problem. I guess it was a brain fart on me. I unmounted the sd card in Nook Color and reformatted and I have .95 GB available. Thanks everyone!

It's always the simple things, isn't it? I do stuff like that ALL the time *rolls eyes* lol happy to help :)
