I rooted as soon as I got my AT&T G3 D850 last year. Cleaned out AT&T's little pile of junk.
Of course I've had no OTA updates since then. I'm ready for Lolipop/5
I'm going to install CWM recovery using ROM Manager.
AFTER that, what's the best way to get a good basic Lolipop ROM? I'm not interested in anything really custom, I just want standard Android without AT&T's junk.
I'm not that familiar with the whole world of custom ROMS. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Look up your Carrier and phone model on the XDA website. I have a Verizon LG G3 and found a number of custom ROM's that I experimented with. Follow directions very carefully when installing (ask me how I know) and also do a YouTube search on the ROM you would like to try. Very informative way to see the ROM in action. Hope that helps.

So you DL a ROM that seems cool to your phone? Then install using ROM Manager?
What' I'm looking for is a "how-to" so that I , also, do not find out the hard way.
