Rooting after GB update?

Is it possible to root after doing the OTA update? I had a couple of apps that required SU permissions and obviously that can't be restored without rooting the phone. I've rooted the "long way" and i've also rooted using Z4, at this point i haven't had luck using Z4, but i wanted to check before i tried any other method since i jus did restore my phone from crashing 2 days ago...Suggestions?

if you have the official OTA, then the only way to root is to sbf back to 2.3.340 and install the rooted GB update. thats not to say there wont be a rooting method available in the future for the OTA (there probably will be), but for now, thats the only option

Thanks for the response and info, I'll hold off for now. I figure its only a matter of time before something comes up...
