Rooting newbie here. Did some searches, but didn't see anything exactly about what I was looking for.

1. I've already rooted using unRevoked. I created the nandroid backup per the instructions.

2. I'm wanting to try out a ROM, probably Redemptive rEVOlution 2.2. However, I've never done this sort of thing and I'm afraid of losing all my data. I've manually dumped my photos from the phone to my PC, but I'm a bit lost on how to back up my contacts, apps, phone history, etc. I don't want to go back through and set everything up again after I've switched ROMs.

I downloaded Titanium Backup (free edition) and made a backup of all the apps, but not sure how to do my contacts and all the other data. I checked the Titanium Backup wiki, but didn't see specific instructions.

3. My goals with rooting and flashing a new ROM:
-learning without sacrificing daily use
-maintain current battery life (or better)
-increased system speed
-remove bloat, if possible
-speed up start up time, if possible

Your help and guidance is greatly appreciated.

Sign in to your gmail on your pc you should have a contacts option on your left check if they are there... If not go on your phones contacts and hit menu save them to your sdcard.. Delete all your contacts, hit menu and restore the contacts from your sdcard and click to google not to phone..

If for some reason you do not want your Google Overlords to have all your contacts - you can backup your contacts to the SD Card and then just re-import them to the Phone Contacts after you load the ROM.

People -> Menu ->Import/Export

Titanium should take care of everything else.

You guys are awesome. Thanks for the quick replies. Now, since I have like 6 or 7 accounts on my phone... just taking a couple of extra clicks. o_0
