Uhhhh...I was going to thank you for sharing your experience as I was about to do the exact same thing and I appreciate learning from what you're going through. But if that's stupid, I'll just watch from the sideline and see where this goes.

Go down to hboot and and click it. You should see it says connlected or the such now. Then run the ruu. I am at dinner for my sons bday. I will be back.

its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be......it just requires the ability to read, patience, being able to follow directions, patience, and more patience.

if you follow the directions its not difficult.

I think wtfm8 brought up a good point, though. The method he used warns against having tried previous roots, but then recommends using z4root to do a backup before you start, which is technically rooting, right? They say nothing about possibly rebooting your phone to remove z4root's temporary root, which should get you back to a fresh start, right? I wonder if wtfm8 did that before starting autoroot?

I can't believe thefredelement bailed on ya after he bricked your phone. Listen to Miss and shell walk you through this.

thats why i was trying to read the instructions on that method cuz i did not use it...and i noticed the same thing.

so technically do the z4root to backup....then reboot and run the ruu...then start the root process.
