Do you have at least one of the .exe's? Just load that as normal. He has multiple links just in case one server/site goes down.

Open up his thread (the one here at AC) and go step by step. You need to install/configure the drivers. If for some reason the fastboot drivers don't work (and trust me, it'll guide you through it--you will know if they don't and you won't harm a thing), you may have to get a bit funky and Google the issue (or check XDA Developers' thread on it). That being said, this is an updated version so that may be completely resolved.

Essentially, you install/configure drivers, then you (1) unlock, then (2) root. You can choose to backup your stuff there, but again I recommend simply sliding stuff over to your computer. Doesn't hurt to be thorough in backing up!

(2) It's almost impossible to actually brick the Nexus. You may have to reverse some things, but it's as bulletproof as phones come in this regard. Have confidence! Also, read read read .

No worries. If this Wug's process fails, try our other guides. It seems like your only roadblock is getting everything to download, though.

Wug's is cake. If you can get it downloaded, install the drivers and rock n' roll. It took me like half an hour to get the stupid drivers configured (that was months ago, I think v1.4 is easier), and like ten minutes to unlock and root (if that).
