Rooting the LG myTouch Q

I recently got 2 LG MyTouch (LG myTouch and LG myTouch Q), and I definitely want to get it rooted, but looks like the phone is too recent for a hack to be available. I will wait patiently for information, since so far, all the posted methods are not working. Thanks in advance to everyone working on this!

You can try this it worked on regular mytouch.....Credit goes to Eamodaly on Xda. He did it first I just followed in second

After several attempts to root via SuperOneClick 2.2, I tried something totally random from another LG rooting thread that seems to have worked. Install ADB, then do
C:\adb> adb shell
$ echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf
$ exit

Then run SuperOneClick 2.2 and it should root properly.

if superoneclick is giving lots of adb errors and timing out make sure to remove Droidexplorer from you pc.

try the program from Unlock Root of Android It worked on mine, I had trouble with the adb/superoneclick method
