Rooting the new 3.1 update?

Has anyone had any luck with rooting the new honeycomb update? I've tried superoneclick as well as z4root, all to no avail. I've never had a problem rooting devices, but this thing is giving me a run for my money. Any input?

I rooted just fine. I followed the steps found here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...-14-2011-how-flash-cwm-root-add-touchwiz.html

And replaced the root exploit with the one found in the youtube video here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...lash-cwm-root-add-touchwiz-2.html#post1175137

I don't know if there is a difference. But the author of the video said he rooted his friends tab with the UX update and all went well. I used his referenced root exploit, which is available on XDA, and everything went smooth.

Be sure to read up before attempting since the process is a bit different and not as easy as running z4 Root or similar to gain root access. It's also advised you download a stock firmware to the phone before proceeding just in case you need to restore from the tab. Good luck
