Anyone else want to wait a few days to buy it from Best Buy? I want to give as little of my money to VZW as possible.. even if they never "officially" delayed the phone.

My partner (works for VZW corp) was selected to be part of a round table discussion meeting this morning for our region (the South region). In the meeting, the regional VP for the South for Verizon was there, along with the area president and district managers for various districts. The Regional VP announced in the meeting that the Nexus is coming on the 8th to VZW corporate stores and online. This matches with what P3 has been saying and what Verizon's own OMM marketing system has said for weeks now. The date is essentially set in stone at this point.
Another noteworthy piece: the regional VP said corporate is really excited about this phone. My partner told me he gets the feeling that corporate VZW expects it to be their first real successor to the OG Droid, and that it should share similar success.
At this point, after hearing what I've heard, I am 100000% sold on December 8th as the day. You can all believe whatever you want, but the 8th is the date I'm set for after hearing what I heard this morning.
Why does anyone want to wait and buy from Best Buy? If it's not coming out until the 11th there, end of discussion. All I have heard was $299. No deals at Best Buy. Will all the anxiety over the waiting on here, I can't believe it's even an option for some people.
RUMOR: Best Buy will charge ridiculous price off-contract.
Edit: Confirmed by common sense.
I bought the Thunderbolt for the exact same price as the Verizon Wireless store on the day of release. They will price match if they (and VZW) have the phone in stock and can be called to verify price.
Now, they do have a limit. So if Best Buy advertises $700 and VZW is selling for $400... I do not believe they will price match on something with that large of a discrepancy.
Yeah, I've heard that. But I recently saw an advertised price of $799 for the RAZR at my local BB...ridiculous. You can slap together a fairly nice desktop for that price.

Came across and figured I'd share - your guess is as good as mine as to any validity to this info
If this doesn't happen, I plan on sending a very strongly worded email to the PTB's at BB. Without my business they will go the way of Circuit City.

Here are some reasons:
1.) Best Buy Credit Card with Promotional Financing Options for Large Purchases
2.) Best Buy Gift Cards sitting around collecting dust.
3.) More convenient than Verizon Stores (Location and hours)
4.) Better selection of accessories (cases, etc.)
5.) No re-stocking Fees
6.) Rewards zone points (in addition to silver which adds 45 day return window
7.) They arent trying to convince you to buy a Xoom when you walk in there (Ahem, Verizon)

I miss Circuit City - although some of the going out of business sales were nice.
Forgot Black Tie Warranty....worth the $$$
