Obviously I can't have this conversation with you if you're going to pick a fight over semantics.
Apple doesn't care about this thread, how many cores the competition has, or how much RAM the competition is putting into the device. If they did, the Macbook Pro would have a higher res screen, iOS would have a real notification system by now, and there would be true multitasking. They'd be putting 4GB of RAM in the iPad, and put out an iPhone with a physical keyboard.
Apple does care if the consumer sees a new shiny object in the store and thinks there's a good reason to buy it over an Apple product.
Consumer marketing and product strategy are related, but have two separate intents. Don't confuse them.
