Rumor: Samsung could still unveil a flat Note 7 after all

I want a flat screen too. I just have zero need/want for a curved screen. I personally gain no benefits from it and I just find it to be a negative. Just see no need to have a small sliver of screen on the sides. Why do that? How do they measure these edge screens anyhow? Is the diagonal measurement from the corner where the vertical and horizontals of the screen meet on the side? That to me would mean less useful display for me.

I feel there will two versions

1. Edge version which will be the main version and will be in most markets.

2. Flat version and lower specs for a small number of markets.

Personally will be going towards the edge. Would be cool if Samsung put palm rejection on edge variant.

Who's to say Samsung hasn't made some improvements to the Note Edge build?

I still think that's an early prototype that was at one time in the works. The FCC gives this stuff away and so far only the widely leaked curved version has all but been confirmed. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Looks like the flat version with the same SD Card tray from the S7. Love the murdered out black sides of the Black Onyx Note 7.

I think it's a prototype/test model as well. The rear is flat as well as the front! Why would they do that? Even the flat S7 has a curved rear that makes it much more comfortable to hold.

I noticed a flat back also, doesn't look like it would be very comfortable to hold.
