Haven't had tmobile very long but has 700 spectrum made a big difference for those that have tmobile?

When they turned on band 12 (700mhz) around where I live, it was literally the difference from my m8 not having any service, to my m9 having full bars of lte, side by side. The m8 did not support band 12, the m9 did. There are still areas that I don't have service now, but they're becoming farther and fewer every couple months.

even without a band 12 phone the service has been great. can't wait for 600 in a few years
600 will be a game changer. Unlike 700, which didn't they have much bandwidth, 600 has a ton. It'll have better range and penetration than 12 and the data capacity, if not more, of their main band 4.

I'm looking forward to it. with my travels T-Mobile works well already and I have to say tmobile reliability has increased ten fold for me when compared to 5 years ago.

I think I've dropped Verizon and at&t for good. That's not a knock to those two but more of a compliment to T-Mobile

I'm hoping we can start trusting reliability (as in better reception) than I'm seeing now. In our town, I think AT&T is king and has most towers, best coverage, reaches farther than what T-Mobile is at this point. I never had to borrow boosters etc with AT&T and never had to worry about having "No Service" so many times like I'm getting now.

Right now, I'd rate TMO a D+ vs. AT&T at an B+.

Very frustrating.

Hopefully it gets better in your area. I have noticed some rural spots that need tlc so hopefully their new spectrum helps that after they build etc.

hopefully they will have 600 phones sooner rather than later and the spectrum will become available at a fast pace. my plan is to not get a new phone (other than a cheapo phone) until 600 is fairly widespread

Was in a rural spot this morning and band 12 was nice. Actually worked better than my gophone did

I just switched from Cricket. I am in Albany, NY and service is solid at home and work but I went just out of the city last weekend and had no service. Very frustrating. I am using a Note 5 so it should have all the latest bands, right?

They've improved greatly but still can't touch Verizon in some markets. I spend most my time in North West MN and Eastern ND, until recently the nearest Tmobile store was over 150 miles away, and it wasn't until fall of 2015 that they even had towers in the area. Coverage works well near I94 and a few large cities, drops to 2G, and frequently no coverage at all in rural and smaller towns. Worked great and had faster data than Verizon in St Paul MN, literally no coverage in Bismarck ND. A state capital and only way to make a call is connect to WiFi haha. I did the comparison over winter, Tmobile may have improved further in the area.

I caved in and got my wife an TMO branded S7 due to data issues and lack of good reception. While at the store, the rep looked at the coverage map because I complained about how such a highly populated busy area of town was covered so poorly, even their own store had minimal coverage. He said that the system showed the tower was being upgraded and due to be done June 27th. So hoping it helps us out with the coverage issues we have all around that area of town.

This rep who looked at the map and the "system" and noted the "upgrade completion" date of June 27th...he wouldn't have happened to be the one making the sale to you?

He was but thankfully the new TMO S7 version has been much better than the unlocked AT&T S7 in that we get full 4-5 bars in places she only got 1-2 and we don't have the no data issue we struggled with. So if they do indeed upgrade the tower, it's just a bonus. I will test it at the end of the month. Pretty simple to tell if they actually fixed things, if I can get more than "No Service" or 1 bar, then we're good. :)

my friend says he experiences better and better rural coverage as time passes so I would imagine it will keep getting better.
