RUU & will unlocking SIM be needed to use pre-paid SIMs?

1. has anyone bothered to flash the new RUU (4.03.605.2) at AP? if so, any issues?

2. in the past, if we wanted to use local pre-paid SIM cards in our Verizon phones, we would have to ask Verizon to unlock the SIM card before traveling. do we know yet if this will be necessary with the Rezound? or, will we simply switch to Global mode & pop in a pre-paid SIM card?

(maybe it's too early to know.)

The sim is already unlocked. You can use an att or tmobile sim and make/receive call and receive texts. But getting rest of it going is the trick.

Ok, so we can just land overseas, pop in a pre-paid SIM and we're good to go, yea?

Nice if we don't have to call VZW to unlock.
