S III Battery life...

Installed Juice Defender and using their standard settings and battery life is doubled without a huge drop off in connectivity. Simply amazing. Took 2 days to kick in because it learns your phone and usage.

I get 18-23hrs. Of battery life with 1%left. moderate use, GPS, wifi, blue tooth on, screen 33%. I also have an extra battery to swap out.

I am very pleased with my battery life 9 hrs. 57% remaining. Numerous calls, emails, texts. I found a huge difference when I disabled gps except when needed.

With light usage right?

I wish I could get over 11 hours with heavy usage

the battery lasted 7.5hrs and went from 100% to 0% to powering off! THATS With Spotify playing the ENTIRE time, frequenting fb, and a few other apps, all running in the background. I'd say fantastic, (due to being a crackberry user for the past 5yrs!) NOW I need a back up battery! I've purchased ALL my accessories(headphones, cases, screen protectors) and previous phone batteries from Ebay/Amazon with no problems. Has anyone purchased a 2nd back up battery? does it have to be samsung brand? thx!!!:p

You only need an official battery for nfc. If you don't use that, the eBay batteries should be fine.

I used them on all my phone with no problem

LadiJae, over the next day or two, please post a battery life\use image with the use of your extended battery...

My extended battery arrived yesterday! No more weak battery life for me!!!

I was looking into extended batteries for this phone, but i came across people talking about how they could harm your phone and it wouldnt be covered by warranty or something. IS this true? Because i want an extended battery as well,

I am liking mine. Whole days use and it has 20% left! Way better than my s2, which used to last only a couple of hrs...if that!

I honestly have no idea, I've had extended batteries on all my phones, I've never had any issues.

I am very happy with the battery life. It is every bit as good as the 4S.

If you get an after market battery (non samsung) you will lose the NFC / S Beam capability. The NFC chip resides on the battery of the SGSIII IIRC.

I'm using juice defender...it seems to work very well (enough that I will buy the full blown version). Fully charged yesterday morning, went to work, came home, went to sleep, all day at work again - Down to 30%.

I'll charge it tonight. I admit....I am a light user. I make a couple of calls, a few texts, play some games, browse through flipboard, etc.

Usually I get about 12 hours with moderate usage. In a 4G area. This past weekend I went camping to a remote area and only had Edge (AT&T) service. I charged on Friday night and didn't recharge until Sunday evening. I was utterly shocked. I figured my battery would be worse, but it was the opposite.
