S III Battery life...

The battery life on this phone is terrible! I LOVE the phone...don't get my wrong...but good lord! My phone was @ 60% when i fell asleep last night....i woke up.....and my phone was DEAD. 0%. WTF? :-:-\

Someone please help!

Did you have the stock music player running before you went to sleep? I have found that if I don't kill the apps in the background it will kill my battery quick. Also are you using power saving mode?

I am impressed with the battery life of this phone. I have only had it for 5 days but it's getting better with each charge.

Now that I manually sync my mail, battery life's much improved. When I'm out for long periods and I'm concerned, I use power saving mode. Makes a big difference too.

I wish this phone could get that type of time with actual usage, that would be awesome, but good standby time none the less

My battery is total garbage. I charged all night, pulled it off the charger at 0800 checked emails and browsed for approx 10min, left it alone until about 1015....65%. It seems like t used more idling than when I'm browsing/using it. Currently at 54%. Screen brightness around 30%, ALL power saving modes on. WiFi here at home and I'm usually on 4glte.

HELP!

Noticed the same battery issue initially. I took the advice of a previous post which suggested: after charging overnite, remove from charger, then when battery shows approx 88-94% plug it in again until fully charged. This has helped immensely! I can actually get thru the day without the "low" warning.

I also noticed the battery is getting better with each charging cycle.

...for the past two days, something has been killing my battery, quick. I think it might be the weather widget. I just put it back on my main screen a few days ago. Albeit, the update was set to three hours!

Anyway, I've removed it, and gone back to just a clock widget.

Also, I installed Google Reader and Google Voice this week. I think I'll uninstall those; not like I use them anyway, and we'll see how the battery behaves.

...something is seriously wrong with the battery life on Samsung device(s). It has been this way for a few days now, and various users, and various Samsung devices(s). I bet an update to an app is causing this.

Today I woke up to a dead device, after going to bed with it at 78%, and NOTHING was running in the background.

I just did a factory reset, and now I'm at 100% (11:05 EST). Let's see where it is when I leave the office around 16:00 today.

Anyone else?

Mines been pretty good so far. I've had it last upwards of nearly 30 hours before. Screen time on this one was a little over 5 hours.

My battery life is just awful. Down to 18% this morning in about 4 hours from fully charged! What would be making my "Android System" drain so high??

Also, no way to upload a picture directly here, must put it somewhere on the web first?

5 hours?

I've never had more than 4 hours screen time out of this phone.

Screen time is the reason I say if you really use this phone it won't last all day

I'm running Juice Defender, the weather widget is set to refresh every 3 hours and right now, the charge has lasted over 19 hours with 51% charge remaining. Granted I'm not a heavy user and also am on WiFi while at home. I also work from home and there aren't many LTE towers yet in the SF North bay, though tons of HSPA+.

I suggest anyone having battery issues makes sure they do the battery calibration described here: Calibrate Android Phone/Tablet Battery and Achieve Longer Battery Life I did this when I first got the phone and one charge before using the phone a bunch I ran well over 36 hours before needing to charge again. Juice Defender seems to work great too, along with power saving mode in settings.

I've noticed that if I have bluetooth and wifi on all the time I get the same battery life as with them off. I'm at about 40% by the end of the day with moderate to heavier use. Brightness at 50%. I'm happy with that. No third party apps.
