s-off isn't root. neither are out yet. they're still finishing up testing and making sure nothing crazy will happen so you don't brick your phone. s-off is just so that root doesn't get erased on reboot like what would happen with teh temp root. so perm root should be out soon.
We already have the root. Once you get S-off you can use the temp root and it will stay perm. Get the clockwork recovery installed and your rotted and flashable.
So applejacks was lying (misinformed?)
Permanent root is done? Installing clockwork is all it takes?
nope.. nothing incorrect at all about applejacks's post. inc2 is not yet supported to be s-off'ed. so you can't install clockwork or do perm root.
what is CM7?
the ones posting the roms are the people who have perm root. they have perm root because they were part of alpharevx's beta testing, they're just starting on making roms and other things for us so that when s-off is publicly released we can do stuff with it right away.Has perm S-off been achieved since someone posted a ROM? I assume so but not sure how to find out. Are there instructions with AlphaRev X? Sorry to be a noob!
