this is kinda cool once again I take no credit for this other than brining it here but I like the concept of being able to keep root basicaly forever

you can find the info here. one thing that this allows you to do is change the splash screen (the first screen that says HTC when you first power on before your boot screen) so I made an Android Central Splash screen for our hero. you can find the instructions on how to change your splash screen here

here is the splash screen I made just unzip it and follow the instructions to flash the mysplash.rgb565 file in fastboot
