I hope this is the correct place to ask this question. If not could someone point me in the correct direction.

I have an HTC One X AT&T. It is unlocked but shows S-On. Here is my bootloader screen:

Tampered
Unlocked
EVITA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-2.14.0000
RADIO-024p.32.09.06
OpenDSP-v34.1.0.45.1219

Fastboot

I can connect to fastboot devices from my computer.

When I try to fastboot erase system I get erasing 'system', Failed <remote: not allowed>

If I fastboot erase cache, it works.

I keep thinking that this may be that my screen shows S-ON.

When I fastboot getvar all this is what I get.

D:\platform-tools>fastboot getvar all
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 2.14.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 0.24p.32.09.06

(bootloader) hbootpreupdate: 11
(bootloader) gencheckpt: 0
all: Done!
finished. total time: 0.085s

The two fields that seem relevant are S-ON and cdinum: 11111111

I have tried flashing a recovery from fastboot. It appears to work but When I try to boot into recovery, The reboot starts and just hangs.

Anyone have any ideas.
