S-Pen delay

At the Unpacked event, Samsung advertised that the basic (not Pro) S-Pen for the S21 Ultra would be available "at launch". But my order says the S-Pen is expected to arrive on Feb 16, weeks after the phone ships on Jan 27.

Well I mess up sorta I ordered S pen says feb 16th however I also ordered case with S pen says Feb 2.
Guess I have spare S pen.

Mine said the 16th also but my husband ordered the case plus pen which 48.99 for both when the pen was just $40 and his says the 2nd like yours..

apparently older S-Pens are compatible. i just bought a third party Note 9 one for a fiver.

It must have changed. Mine says 2/16 as well, the case I ordered that came with a pen as well says 2/2.

My order confirmation email from Samsung says "Unfortunately, the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G S-Pen is not available right now. We will send an email when it is ready to go". So they're officially acknowledging the delay.

There are two models of the S-Pen for the S21 Ultra. As I mentioned, the Unpacked event advertised that the non-Pro (non-Bluetooth) model would be available "at launch". But it is not.

I think it does all the air action stuff like changing photos and swiping.

I'm interested in the question too, but I haven't found any clear evidence of the answer. Can you say where you got that information?

Similar to my battery chargers, I have more S-Pens than I can shake a Stick at. I'll use one of those until the S-Pen Pro is released

Or a small clip that I'm sure some company will offer. Or if the pen stays charged for days, it may not be important to charge it while carrying the phone around.
