Having owned every Note since day one, this is the first time I notice that when pulling the S Pen out, it doesn't come out as smooth as on previous phones. Was this done in purpose?

I think what we are experiencing is the material of the s pen.. it feels a little more grippy than previous ones so when you try to pull it out I feel like it tugs a little bit...

I thought the same thing, but after "investigation" I agree with @bkdodger2 ... think it's just due the material of the pen. Wondering if the slight friction will lessen over time with use.

I concur. When I pulled it out, I noticed the "sticking" also. Then I caressed it (lol) and it feels kinda like silicone. It's easier to write with imo.

When I first pulled out the S Pen, it felt kind of stuck. It's better now and I like the grip on it.

Anyone having issues with the S-Pen disconnecting as soon as you remove it from the phone? I get a notification every time. I half think the silicone case with strap that has the metal might be messing with with the signal but why would Samsung make a case that would mess with their own phone?

Mine does that. Spen does not work great either. Have to push hard to get screen to recognize it when tappimg or drawing. So far not impressed. I'm back on my fold 3, not looking like the 22 ultra is going to take me away from my fold 3

I came from a note 20 ultra and it really wasn't an upgrade honestly. Kinda the same phone to me. I'll keep it just to so I can give my note 20 to my boyfriend who never upgrades his phone because he had some geriatric phone plan and doesn't want to change it.

If I keep it, I might give it to my daughter. I'm not sure what I'll do, but it's that or return it. The phone also gets hot compared to the last few samsung phones I've had.

My S-Pen is working great. What happens when your phone is out of that case?

I actually think it's a good thing. I've had situations where the Spen was partially ejected on the Note 20 and I'm certain it could fall out out on its own.

So far no noticable issues except the first time I went to use but i think it was lag because the phone was still setting up.

I like the grip of the S Pen. Make it harder to lose and harder to drop. I like that Samsung did that.

I let the phone charge over night and now the spen does not show disconnected when out of the silo. Seems to be working better also.

Wonder if the battery on spen needed charged?
