S-Pen Notification

All,
Quick question. When you take the S-Pen out, didn't a notification show on the task bar with an S-Pen icon? I could have thought that. Also, I used to have that S-Pen page appear when the pen was removed. That also disappeared. How can I bring those back? I must be missing something...

Settings>Display>Page buddy

If you tap the words it will take you to a second menu that gives you an option to turn page buddy features on an off.

It didn't work for me. I'll try to restart my device just in case I happen to force stop something important. But tye page buddy really didn't work out for me.
