Finger works fine while composing handwritten note on Galaxy s4 s-memo app. Why doesn't the s-pen work? And is there a way to make it work?

The S-Pen isn't supported by the S4. It won't even work for scrolling. You can use a third party stylus but the ones made for the Note line will not work

Any 3rd party pen? As long as it's not designed for use with the Note or any Samsung tablet? There must be a difference on the tip! If I'm right, what do I need to look for in purchasing a 3rd party pen?
