S pen problems

Touching the pen to the screen and tapping the pen button twice didn't work either.
I'd have to say that's also rather awkward to actually do.
Its got to be something I've set in the pen setup but I don't even know where to look.

Hmmm...perhaps you should watch this tricks and tips video about the S pen. WATCH THIS video and it will tell you where you need to go for the S PEN setup. It's really quite Easy.

Umm it didn't show you were to set up the S Pen? O.K.....
System Settings > Controls > Scroll down to Motion control and turn on Air Command. You'll find what to tweak inside there.

Yep that's there ... but doesn't sove the problem, that I can't get the menu to appear again after I've dismissed it and I still have the pen out.

Right now the S Pen menu won't appear at all. And no combination of Settings - Controls - S Pen, on or off will bring it back!

I finally found the right combination of settings. Sheesh what a pain that is. Now I need to shut off that hand written note thing that shows up. Why, you say? Because I spend so much time correcting what the handwriting converts to text I might as well have pecked out the text with the S pen in the first place.

You mean the memo that pops up when you double tap the screen and use your S pen?

The screen that accepts handwriting doesn't always interpret my scribbling accurately.

Ah ok. Is your profession a Doctor? My Dad is a retired Surgeon and his hand writing is very illegible when it comes to reading rushed notes.

Thanks so much. I thought my pen didn't work and was always putting it back in the holder when I wanted to use it. Never thought to double click the pen. Thanks for sharing!

S pen works great, but in S Note it misses a couple of strokes, like after the fifth or sixth stroke. It still works great in all the other apps, Action memo, Onenote, Evernote and others. Is there anything I can do?

I have been dealing with the same. Settings changed in update. In Settings, same page as S-pen options, scroll down to motion controlled and turn on air Command there. I swear it used to be located in S-pen options!The darn phone had turned off.
